New Avengers Tower LEGO Set Boasts Massive Lineup of Marvel Minifigs

Avengers fans will soon have the chance to assemble … a 5,201-piece LEGO set that features 31 minifigs, the most that have ever been included in a single set. The Avengers Tower breaks a record for the biggest Marvel-themed set in LEGO history.

As described on Marvel.com, when fully assembled the Avengers Tower stands over 35.5 inches tall, claiming another record as the greatest height that an official LEGO-build skyscraper has ever reached. Based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Avengers’ headquarters, the set includes minifigs, LEGO’s trademark character figures, based on characters who appeared in several different films within the Infinity Saga.

Images of the Avengers Tower set show not only the six original Avengers, but later additions to the lineup like Scarlet Witch and the Falcon, plus several New Yorkers and Chitauri soldiers. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also gets a minifig, baseball cap and all, exclusive to this set. A Leviathan, the Quinjet, and two Chitauri flyers are also included, making it easy to reenact virtually every moment from the Battle of New York in 2012’s The Avengers, and beyond.

The Avengers Tower, an iconic MCU backdrop

In Phase One of the MCU, the Avengers Tower began as Stark Tower, a high-tech project conceived and built by  Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man. Once the Avengers team was officially formed, the tower was dedicated to their purpose, and appeared in several movies as either a major setting or a part of the skyline in the MCU’s fictionalized version of New York City. After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the new iteration of the team moved to a complex upstate, and the Avengers Tower was later sold and refurbished.

The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower set will be available starting on November 24 and is priced at $499.99. It can be purchased in stores or on the official LEGO site.
