Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 Power Rangers Lightning Collection Reveals

The biggest news out of Hasbro‘s Pulse Con 2021 Power Rangers panel, fittingly, involves giant robots. It’s the Zord Ascension project, which won’t start hitting retail for some time yet. The initiative creates intricately detailed and fully articulated Megazords in the 1:44 scale, with tiny Power Rangers minifigs that cheat the scale slightly. First up will be the classic Mighty Morphin Dino Megazord, who’ll stand about 11 inches tall. A special black and gold variant will come with a Power Rangers NFT coming soon to Hasbro Pulse.

In a running change, the larger monsters line will now change to the deluxe line, adding larger good-guy figures to the mix. The first such hero will be the In Space Blue Ranger on his Galaxy Glider. (Soon, they hint, to be followed by all his teammates on same.) But the monsters keep coming, soon to include Pirantishead, complete with trademark fish nunchuks.

For the first time, a Lord Zedd 1:1 helmet will be made, including chrome highlights, a soft brain, and a voice changing effect! This ties in with the character’s return as a villain in the current TV series.

Among regular figures from the Lightning Collection: a Zeo Cog army builder, Dino Charge Pink Ranger and Wolf Ranger, and Dino Fury Red Ranger. Get a first look at some of these in our gallery below. Most will go up for presale on Hasbro Pulse at 4pm eastern for Pulse members, and 5pm for the general public.
