Dr. Fate Lights up as Part of Mezco’s One: 12 Collective Line

DC’s master of magic doesn’t come off as the most subtle dude on the planet. Nobody wears bright blue and gold, and then expects not to get noticed everywhere. But when you have great magical powers, you can do that. And Dr. Fate has defended the world from supernatural threats since the days of ancient Egypt. Not noticeable enough? Well, his new action figure from Mezco actually lights up, making him even harder to ignore. Both his chest armor and mask eyeholes glow blue with power when activated.

Part of Mezco’s high-end 6-inch line One: 12 Collective, Dr. Fate boasts a fully poseable body under a custom tailored costume. From the official description:

“Dr. Fate wears a fitted bodysuit underneath his fortified light-up chest armor, a leather-like cape with integrated posing wire, a leather-like tasset, and knee-high boots. The Master of Magic comes complete with two head portraits including a Helmet of Fate portrait with light-up eyes and an unmasked Kent Nelson portrait. An additional Helmet of Fate is included that can be held.”

“Dr. Fate proves his magical prowess is unmatched, complete with three different magic projection effects that attach to his wrist-mounted posing post and the Book of Thoth, a magic tome containing dangerous spells. The Book of Thoth can open and close, features real paper pages, and comes with an additional wrist-mounted posing post.”

Dr. Fate runs $95; preorder now for a delivery in late spring. Want to know more? Check out the gallery below.
