Hasbro Unveils New Carbonized and Vintage Star Wars Figures

It’s Star Wars Fan Appreciation Day today, so noted because The Rise of Skywalker hits Blu-ray. Not to mention all the other Disney films (save The Last Jedi and Solo) finally getting their 4K debuts. Not one to waste the tie-in opportunity, Hasbro debuted several new action figures for preorder on Hasbro Pulse.

Following the popularity and rarity of the retail-exclusive “Carbonized” variant figures from last year, two old favorites get the treatment. Boba Fett and the Original Trilogy Stormtrooper shine brighter than ever, literally, with a fancy new finish and detail. And nobody needs line up outside actual stores; Hasbro has made them available to all online. Will shiny Stormtrooper armor be more blaster-proof? The Empire’s recruits shouldn’t count on it.

The Vintage Collection in the four-inch scale continues with a couple of pre-OT additions. Clone Commander Wolffe features a removable helmet and stands ready to lead his Wolfpack. Meanwhile, Rogue One‘s K-2SO proves as handy with a blaster as with a sarcastic quip. Cassian Andor’s repurposed Imperial Interrogation droid should return soon in their Disney+ TV series. So grab him early, before he earns too many new fans.

All four new figures should tentatively ship around July 22nd, which was when Comic-Con should be happening in San Diego. Recent events have made that big event seem far more unlikely, but at least fans can get their new toy fix at that time of year.
