First Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian LEGO Sets Revealed

The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian LEGO Sets Revealed

Traditionally, Force Friday used to be an in-store event where Star Wars toys would go on sale at midnight. Save for the odd early leak, most consumers would have no idea exactly what the toys would be. It was all hush-hush till the moment of sale. But then Toys R Us closed, as did most other stores that sold toys exclusively. With Targets confirmed not to be opening at midnight for this year’s Oct 5th Force Friday, licensees are revealing a bit more in advance. Today, LEGO lifted the lid on their initial offerings. They feature The Rise of Skywalker, The Mandalorian, and a couple of classic trilogy items.

Fans searching for clues about the story won’t find a whole lot given away here. LEGO Star Wars sets usually stay close to canon, but these vehicles are primarily familiar ones in new colors. It looks like Zorii Bliss will pilot a Y-Wing, and an unusual alien named Boolio comes alongside the Millennium Falcon crew. The only radically new vehicle is the Pasaana speeder seen in the first teaser. And a customized, repainted Imperial AT-ST looks to feature in The Mandalorian.

Meanwhile, from A New Hope comes a mini Death Star set that combines both the Death Star cannon and the tractor beam controls that Obi-wan deactivated. And a buildable Yoda does an exceptional job of capturing the Jedi Master’s Muppety qualities.
