Kate Bishop Stars in Marvel’s New Hawkeye Miniseries

With Kate Bishop making her MCU debut later this year in Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+, it only makes sense for the character to make a big splash in the comics around that time as well. That’s why Marvel is gearing up to release a five-issue miniseries that brings Kate back to her old New York stomping grounds for a brand new adventure.

Hawkeye: Kate Bishop finds the title character at a crossroads in her life. After spending time in Los Angeles with the West Coast Avengers, she returns to the Big Apple to settle down. But it isn’t long before a fancy resort enlists her skills as a private investigator to solve a jewel heist. And while she’s initially eager to help out, the job eventually starts to feel more like a trap.

The miniseries comes from New York Times best-selling author Marieke Nijkamp and artist Enid Balám. According to Nijkamp (via Bustle), we can expect to see a few recognizable faces (including Lucky the Pizza Dog) along with enemies new and old. Nijkamp also promises that the series is for everyone, regardless of how familiar they are with Kate as a character.

“Because Kate’s story is in flux right now, it’s the perfect time to jump on board for the adventure,” said Nijkamp. “You don’t need to know where she was to enjoy the journey.”

Hawkeye: Kate Bishop hits comic shops sometime in November. You can view the first issue’s cover along with some new designs for Kate in the gallery below.
