Exclusive Preview: Fantastic Four #22

Several years ago, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and the Hulk became the new Fantastic Four when they thought the original team had died. Since then, they’ve become extended members of the FF family. With the Fantastic Four out in space dealing with the events of Emypre, Wolverine and Spidey have answered the call again to protect Franklin and Valeria Richards.

But the Richards siblings aren’t alone. They came back to Earth with a Kree child named Jo-Venn, and his Skrull counterpart, N’Kalla. The FF saved Jo-Venn and N’Kalla from a life fighting each other in deadly gladiatorial games. However, no one told Wolverine about N’Kalla, and he cut her open without realizing that she was just a kid.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Fantastic Four #22, Dan Slott and artists Paco Medina & Sean Izaakse pick up moments later, with N’Kalla seriously injured. If you think this is bad, you should see the time Wolverine accidentally cut off part of the Thing’s face. Regardless, N’Kalla’s familiarity with Alicia Masters may callback to Alicia’s stint as a Skrull prisoner years ago. Meanwhile, Spider-Man’s warnings of danger have gone unheeded, and the Cotati invaders are just around the corner.
