Marvel Studios Releases a New Black Widow Synopsis

The Super Bowl is in the books. Marvel Studios seized the opportunity of the biggest TV commercial day of the year not only to drop a Black Widow spot and several brand new characters posters, but also a new synopsis for the upcoming movie. The new Black Widow synopsis reads as follows:

“In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow — the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.”

Marvel Studios has hardly disappointed its fans recently, but there is some preoccupation with this movie in particular. Several fans are expressing their lack of interest in the upcoming Black Widow. Natasha Romanoff’s upcoming solo movie takes place prior to the events of Avengers: Endgame when the Black Widow dies. Many fans fear that kind of already know what the story of this movie is going to tell. It’s up to Marvel Studios to please — once again — even the most demanding fans.

Black Widow will debut in theaters on May 1. What do you think about the new Black Widow synopsis? Let us know in the comments section below.
