Exclusive Preview: Avengers #29

Back in Marvel Legacy #1, Kevin Conner, the Starbrand introduced in Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers run, went insane and died at the hands of Ghost Ride/Robbie Reyes. However,  this planetary defense mechanism can’t be contained forever and a new Starbrand will soon be reborn.

Now, the Avengers have been drawn into a quest to find the next Starbrand…but the mission is already a disaster. Iron Man has been lost in time, and Thor has also undergone a bizarre transformation into a Brood. Additionally, Black Widow, Blade, and Ghost Rider are trapped and surrounded by intergalactic criminals who want them dead.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Avengers #29, Jason Aaron and artists Ed McGuinness and Paco Medina formally introduce the War Widow! As glimpsed at the end of last issue, Tony Stark created a new suit of armor for Black Widow. It’s also got everything she needs to take down superpowered Skrulls in an intergalactic gulag. However, even the War Widow can’t withstand the might of the Silver Surfer!
