Crisis on Infinite Earths Won’t Have Lynda Carter, Seeks Smallville Character

The CW wants to do things the right way with Crisis on Infinite Earths. The highly anticipated crossover will feature cameos from several stars who played the DC superheroes in the past. At the recent TCA, Crisis on Infinite Earths producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that he is pursuing Smallville alums too.

“It’s such a big part of DC TV history,” he said. “I would love to have at least one Smallville character in the crossover. I guess I can say every single day I have some conversation with some casting director or some agent. There’s such a big, wide tapestry of DC TV and DC movie properties – the whole reason we started talking about the crossover as early as we did this year was to give us time to have all those conversations.”

Recently, Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum has debunked some rumors in which he was the one supposed to make a cameo in the CW’s crossover.

Producers would have liked also Lynda Carter to once again play the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, but Guggenheim confessed that she won’t likely reprise.

“I had conversations with DC and Warner Bros. and based on those conversations, I don’t think it’s going to be able to happen,” the Arrowverse producer stated.

The show will reserve some interesting surprises though. Both Burt Ward and Kevin Conroy will make a cameo in the upcoming crossover. The former played Robin in the ’60s Batman television series, while the latter has been the Batman voice actor for multiple animated shows and features.

Recently, the CW has finally revealed the dates and featured appearances for the highly anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will start on December 8. Which Smallville character would you like to see in the crossover? Let us know in the comments section below.
