Nickelodeon’s Hit Superhero Family Returns Today in New Paramount+ Movie

Nickelodeon‘s beloved superhero family is returning in a new Paramount+ action-comedy feature film. The latest installment follows the suburban hero team as they face their toughest internal challenge yet.

Clash of the Thundermans is now streaming on Paramount+. Directed by Trevor Kirschner, the film sees the Jed Spingarn-created family facing a house divided rather than a supervillain. While it brings back the core cast of its original series, it also welcomes Modern Family alum, Ariel Winter.

Filmmaker Kirschner also executive produced the new film alongside Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Brian Banks, and Richard Bullock. Jed Spingarn, Sean W. Cunningham, and Marc Dworkin penned the script.

Why the Hero League wants Chloe away from home as the Thundermans take sides

The clash begins when young sibling Chloe Thunderman (Maya Le Clark) develops a brand-new, unpredictable superpower that is hard to control.

The Hero League, an organization that oversees superheroes, believes Chloe needs formal training. It forces the family to send her away to a specialized superhero boarding school to master her new powers.

The decision makes the Thundermans family fearful, as it would separate Chloe from her family for years. That ultimatum forces the superheroes to pick sides. Max, Nora, and Hank prefer the boarding school option as the safest for Chloe, while Barb, Phoebe, and Billy refuse to accept the idea of sending her away.

Clark reprises her role as Chloe, and she is joined by Chris Tallman and Rosa Blasi, returning as Hank and Barb. Kira Kosarin comes back as Phoebe, while Jack Griffo and Addison Riecke play Max and Nora. Diego Velázquez also returns as Billy.

Other returning cast members include Dana Snyder as Dr. Colosso, Daniele Gaither as President Kickbutt, and Robyn Bradley as Mee-Maw. Winter joins the franchise as the new character Cognita.

Viewers can also watch the movie on Nickelodeon, which will air at 7 PM ET/PT today.
