The finale of Spider-Noir reveals what ultimately happens to Ben Reilly after the season’s conflict with Silvermane and his superpowered henchmen reaches its conclusion. By the end of the episode, Ben succeeds in stopping the destruction planned for the Lower East Side. However, the victory leaves him injured, exposed and forced into hiding.

After Ruby’s death, Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage, stepped away from his identity as “The Spider” and began working as a private investigator. However, Silvermane’s growing criminal operation and the actions of his superpowered henchmen eventually force Ben to return as the masked vigilante.

The final episode centers on the threat facing the Lower East Side. Megawatt’s electrical converter is used during the attack. Ben ultimately prevents the destruction by overloading the converter before it can fully devastate the area. Although he manages to stop the attack, the finale makes clear that the outcome comes at a major personal cost.

During the climactic confrontation, Sandman, portrayed by Jack Huston, destroys The Spider’s mask and publicly exposes Ben Reilly’s identity. The reveal leaves Ben vulnerable at the end of the season and permanently changes his situation moving forward.

Ben later uses a smoke screen to create confusion between Silvermane’s gunmen and Sandman. The distraction causes Silvermane’s men to fire at Sandman’s core, which neutralizes the villain.
