What new Marvel TV show is now on Prime Video?
Beginning today, all eight episodes of Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television’s latest Marvel TV show, Spider-Noir, are officially available to stream on Prime Video. The new live-action Spider-Man series is available in two versions, “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.” In the show, Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage plays an aging superhero and private detective, Ben Reilly/Spider-Noir.
The series is created and executive-produced by showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, along with director Harry Bradbeer. The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, Brendan Gleeson, Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.
“The series tells the story of Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero,” reads the official logline.
Even though it won’t be tied to any Sony or Marvel movies, the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was also part of the creative process, including Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. They are executive producing Spider-Noir, alongside Cage, Aditya Sood, Dan Shear, and Pavlina Hatoupis. It is a production by Sony Pictures Television.
