Out of these four dates, one could likely be given to Shang-Chi 2, if at all, some other projects don’t end up filling all the dates. If this sequel misses the 2028 release window, then 2029 could be considered for an expected release.

Earlier this year, reputed industry scooper Daniel Richtman shared an update on Dr. Strange 3 and Shang-Chi 2. He stated, “I hear Doctor Strange 3 and Shang-Chi 2 not filming till 2026.” Based on this scoop, there are chances that it could arrive in 2028 or in 2029.
Moreover, Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu also revealed that the project is underway and expressed his enthusiasm during an interview with PTI. He said, “A lot of it is above my pay grade, but it’s definitely happening… just kind of very excited to work on it, and it’s going to be amazing. I really can’t say anything beyond that.” (via Times of India)
In another interview with ScreenRant, he also addressed whether Cretton’s involvement in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has any impact on the making of the Shang-Chi sequel. He added, “I don’t think anything’s been impacted. I speak to Destin often and there’s nothing coming out of both of us but excitement to make this film.”
