Loki Writer Shares Miss Minutes’ Unused WGA Awards Speech

If you followed last night’s WGA Awards then you know that Loki did not take home the prize for best drama series. Head writer Michael Waldron shared that nomination with Bisha K. Ali, Jess Dweck, Elissa Karasik, Tom Kauffman, and Eric Martin. However, HBO’s Succession was ultimately the winner in that category. Regardless, Waldron offered his congratulations to that show’s writers in a Twitter post. He also revealed that Tara Strong reprised her role as Miss Minutes, the animated (and possibly living) mascot of the TVA.

The clip below is what would have played if Team Loki had won. Ironically, Miss Minutes suggests that Succession was supposed to win all along.

In a follow up post, Waldron noted that Kauffman came up with the idea for the speech. Waldron also thanked Strong “for recording this on 12 hours notice and being hilarious and brilliant as always.”

Waldron is returning for Loki season 2 as an executive producer. However, all six episodes will be written by Martin. Additionally, Moon Knight helmers , Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will direct the majority of season 2’s episodes.
