AMC is filling out the cast of its next Walking Dead spinoff with even more A-list talent. According to Variety, the network’s upcoming Tales of the Walking Dead series will feature appearances by Olivia Munn, Jessie T. Usher, Embeth Davidtz, Danny Ramirez, and Loan Chabanol.
Tales of the Walking Dead marks the franchise’s first anthology show. Each of the new episodes will follow different characters as they navigate the zombie apocalypse and fend off the undead. Previously announced cast members include Anthony Edwards, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Poppy Liu, and Daniella Pineda. As of now, AMC still isn’t sharing character breakdowns. But some of these actors reportedly have the potential to get their own spinoffs down the line if their episodes perform well enough.
Most of these performers aren’t strangers to the comic books space. Munn previously appeared as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016. Usher currently stars on Amazon’s The Boys as A-Train. Last year, Ramirez made his MCU debut as Joaquin Torres on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Davidtz also briefly showed up as Peter Parker’s mother in The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel.

Channing Powell is the showrunner of Tales of the Walking Dead and he will executive produce the series with franchise CCO Scott M. Gimple. The first season will consist of six episodes.
“Olivia, Danny, Loan, Embeth, and Jessie are the latest massive talents that will bring new worlds of TWD to life with big, daring, different, emotional, shocking, scary, and crazy stories. We’re excited for them to come walk with us,” said Gimple in a new statement.
“Somehow we have lucked into the greatest cast — Olivia, Jessie, Embeth, Danny, Loan,” added Powell. “We’ve been hoping these episodes will feel like unique, little films and with this range of actors, we are well on our way.”
Tales of the Walking Dead will premiere this summer on AMC.
