Silver Surfer is Coming Soon

Sci Fi Wire spoke to both Marvel Studios’ Avi Arad and Fox Filmed Entertainment Co-Chairman Tom Rothman who said Silver Surfer will get started after Fantastic Four and X-Men 3. Here’s a clip:

“I think the tricky thing on Silver Surfer, which hasn’t been resolved yet, is the nature of the Surfer and to what extent digital work is used and to what extent it isn’t,” Rothman said in a separate interview.

Mike Elizalde on Fantastic Four

Latino Review has posted a new interview with Mike Elizalde, co-founder of special effects company Spectral Motion, about creating The Thing and Dr. Doom costumes for Fantastic Four.

The interview also includes two new pictures and Elizalde says they are working on X-Men 3 as well.

Constantine DVD Announced!

Warner Home Video has announced the details for the Constantine DVD, coming July 19th. The Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz-starrer has earned an impressive $211.1 million worldwide. The movie will be available in both a two-disc Deluxe Edition and single-disc Widescreen and Full Screen versions.

The Deluxe Edition includes audio commentaries (director Francis Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman and screenwriters Kevin Brodbin and Frank Capello), 18 minutes of deleted scenes (including an alternate ending) with optional commentary by director Francis Lawrence, “The Production From Hell,” “Imagining the Underworld” (includes a ‘Demon Face’ Easter Egg), “Foresight: The Power of Pre-Visualization” and “Conjuring Constantine” featurettes, A Perfect Circle’s “Passive” music video, theatrical trailers, DVD-ROM content and a collectible Hellblazer comic.

The single-disc editions will include the 18 minutes of deleted scenes with alternate ending, theatrical trailer and DVD-ROM content.

Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo Hellblazer graphic novels and written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, Constantine tells the story of John Constantine (Reeves), a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.

Tilda Swinton, Peter Stormare, Djimon Hounsou, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Gavin Rossdale and Shia La Beouf also star.

The Legend of Zorro Teaser Online

Columbia Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment have launched the teaser trailer for The Legend of Zorro at Yahoo! Movies, where you can view the clip in both QuickTime and Windows Media format.

Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are re-united with director Martin Campbell in the sequel to 1998’s The Mask of Zorro.

The year is 1850 and our swashbuckling crusader is challenged by the most dangerous mission of his life. After fighting to help California become the 31st state of the Union, Zorro (Banderas) must live up to the promise he made his wife Elena (Zeta-Jones) – to give up his secret identity and live a normal life as Alejandro de la Vega. When he hesitates, it threatens to tear them apart. Now, the same forces that conspired to keep California from becoming part of the United States are plotting to unleash a threat that has been 500 years in the making, a threat that could change the course of history forever. And only Zorro can stop it.

The Legend of Zorro comes to theaters on October 28.

Bosworth Takes Short Break From Superman

The Herald Sun says that Kate Bosworth slammed her foot in a door and is having to sit out filming Superman Returns for four days:

Kate Bosworth, who plays the reporter in the new Superman flick, has apparently put filming on hold as she recovers from … a blister.

Bosworth fronted up to a Darlinghurst medical centre on Sunday with what was first suspected to be a broken foot.
