Shuler Donner Wants X4 and The New Mutants

/Film talked to "X-Men" franchise producer Lauren Shuler Donner who revealed which other movies she'd like to see happen in addition to X-Men: First Class:
As well as the eventual New Class, then - whenever that might be - Shuler Donner revealed that she has been cooking up plans for several other mutant films. The two she named? An X4, reuniting the X-Men and a big screen outing for The New Mutants. X4, she said, had yet to be pitched to the studio, however.
It will be interesting to see which movie gets going first, with Deadpool, Magneto and Wolverine 2 also in the mix.

as much as I want to see another Xmen movie, I doubt it will happen, and if it does Fox will ruin it...it's sad because I'd love to see them use Apocalypse.

X4 all the way! Kill off Wolverine and focus on the other mutants! And Can Cyclops finally be the the hero? Keep Jean dead. And bring on Sinister or Apoclypse/a combo of the two.

Ok, let's do something like what if X3 never happened, and continue the story from X2... wait... they did that with Superman and... well... we have a kid who can throw a piano...
let's just forget everything... they're pushing it too far... give it a break before everything turns into a disaster
X-Men had its shot, the first two were okay, X3... Was there an X3??? Wolverine... too much toy-seller...
Stick with the Avenger Formula...

i wanna see X4 with apocolypse and mr sinister and i want them to bring cyclops back and make him the leader hes supposed to be instead of killing him off 10 minutes into the movie

it makes me happy to see talk of the new mutants getting a screen treatment. Magma, Wolfsbane, cannonball....all great characters. also love the "new x-men" like Dust, surge, mercurym rockslide....

im excited for x4, but i still dont think there sould be a magneto film, and even more definitly not a deadpool movie, for some reason, i feel like it would be and do terrible

I for one am very hesitant at an X4 movie. I had hoped that first class would get away from everything that they did in X3 (the action was awesome, but the story...not so much). I could see how they could redeem themselves from 3, but I just don't see it happening. And it would be nice to see the right characters together in first class.
Aside from that... BRING ON WOLVERINE II AND DEADPOOL!!!! Woo Hoo!!

please. dont make any more x-men films that arent in cannon with the first 3 (and any sequels must not be by brett ratner). no spin-offs. no prequels. no new anything. dont you realize how much higher the bar has been raised since the first x-men.
we'll never get an x-men movie that does the source justice.

If I remember right... wasn't there a big thing about Halle Berry saying she wouldn't do X3 unless she had more of a leadership role? After X2 she said she didn't want to do anymore at all. They wanted her back because she was such a good actress. Hence the Cyclops/Xavier "removal". It wasn't Jackman/wolverine for that mess up.

I don't know what good villians they could have for X4.. they pretty much butchered them all on the third one... they could do sinister or appocalypse, but i really don't want to see what they'd do to them if it's the same group who did the last one..oooy...as much as i hate to say it.. reboot anyone? or if you could get a decent writer and director, that'll work too..

I think with the events on X-3, Apocalypse or Shadow King would make sense to bring back the "dead" mutants such as Cyclops and Psylocke. Maybe they can finally get Rogue and Gambit in the same movie. Also Emma Frost would make sense

my idea for x4: Prof X and Sinister were old colleagues, and Sinister helped X develop the mind transplanting technique he used in X3. Using this technique and some advanced cloning, Sinister resurrects Jean and Cyclops. With help from the Marauders, Sinister begins assembling the twelve--which includes Jean and Scott--in order to summon Apocalypse.
