McQuarrie to Write Wolverine Sequel!
August 13, 2009
Christopher McQuarrie has signed on to write the script for 20th Century Fox's Wolverine sequel. McQuarrie won an oscar for writing The Usual Suspects and reteamed with that film's director, Bryan Singer, for the first X-Men.
McQuarrie voluntarily took his name off X-Men when the final version was more in line with David Hayter's script than his.
Hugh Jackman will again star as Logan/Wolverine. He is also producing via his Fox-based Seed production company along with Lauren Shuler Donner.
The Hollywood Reporter says the movie's story line will takes its cue from the early 1980s Chris Claremont-Frank Miller miniseries, which is set in Japan and features Wolverine dealing with ninjas as he struggles whether to follow his animal killer instincts or the life under a samurai's code of honor and respect.
Made for about $150 million, "Wolverine" earned $363.2 million worldwide.

Eh, doesn't really matter how talented the people involved are, as long as it's pushed through that corporate poo-hole known as Fox Studios, it's nothing but doomed.

I've seen four Wolverine movies. Can I have an X-Men movie, please?

Can't Fix Stupid. Which is what the first movie was. I'm a die hard X-Men fan and when someone asks me what I thought of the Wolverine movie, I say,"I enjoyed it, even though it was a piece of S***."

Did anyone else notice that in the Wolverine movie a) Logan KO's Gambit in the alley and then 30 seconds later he's three blocks down, on the roof and running like hell to catch up with the fight, and b) Taylor (Gambit) runs like a girl?

hmmmmm... Ninjas?!?! Idk about this. It will probably end up being like the last samurai with tom cruise. How about the ****in ***** on earth starring tom hanks.

The first movie screwed up the Wolverine continuity. Deadpool was a joke and besides some good action this movie sucked. They better re tool for the second one. Silver Samurai as a villain maybe???

It doesn't matter who they hire as long as Tom Rothman is the head of that studio. His goal is money, period. That guy could care less about what the quality of the film is as long as the company profits big time. So to hear that a former Oscar winning writer has been hired to write the film, so what. Gavin Hood is an Oscar winning director and the first Wolverine film was terrible.

If anybody but fox had it i'd be excited.
I dont care if they promise us the moon in the sequel, we all now they would be lying through their teeth.

Okay, this is just ****ing stupid. They ****ed up the story enough with the 1st movie. Now we have to witness the same **** ups again? Why not just get back to the Xmen storyline? They need to let Stan Lee get behind the camera and produce a good flick himself. **** these ******* studios being nothing but a steaming pile of AIDS. I shall not even be brought into the Bull**** of this film. Booo i say. Boooooo!!!

As long as Frank Miller doesn't disassociate himself from the movie, it will be good.

Skip Wolvie 2. Do x4 like this:
Backpedal on the cure (results were only temporary) and get into the Sentinal conflict as a good starting point. Farther in, maybe investegate some mutant abductions that lead to something more SINISTER. Ending with a visitor from the future (Cable?) who warns of an impending Apocalypse...?

I liked Wolverine Origins.
I thought x-men 1 was ok, I love the beginning that's it.
x-men 2 & 3 didn't suck but... I don't watch them anymore
Superman Returns: THE PLOT WAS EXCELLENT.
Here is what they should of done: Superman goes away to see if there are any survivors from Krypton. Somehow Lex finds out and as Superman is away he builds a Super army to fight and destroy Superman when he returns.
Superman Returns part 2: When Superman was returning home to earth in part 1. What he didn't know is that something very powerful was following him. Maybe like Darkseid or Brainiac or Doomsday. So Superman has to team up with Lex to stop this bad guy.
Superman returns part 3: A prequel. When Superman said there were no survivors in Superman Returns part 1, he wasn't being totally honest. This movie will show what Superman did when he went back to what was left of Krypton. Who he met. Who he battled. The whole adventure that took place there.
What do you think?

or x-men vs dinosaurs or x-men in space!

I noticed the Gambit thing in the alley too. I had assumed they were going to fix that from the workprint to the final movie, but it's still there. And also his super jump at the end?!!!

Oregon Bear Trap: Lee sat behind the First Hulk and that sucked.
What we need to Marvel send in some special agents to snatch up the papers that have the rights to the Xmen Fantastic Four and any other Marvel character, slay all the Big Wigs at FOX and run back to Marvel and make a TRUE Xmen Movie.
This movie will suck horribly but Ill wind up going to see it anyway because im that big of a Wolvy fan.

Although i hated the first movie i think we're off to a good start. That depends of course on who will fox choose to direct the sequel.Since they don't listen to the fans i hope they will at least listen to most of the movie critics who bashed the first movie and hire a director more suitable for the franchise. So good script first and a good(established) director who understands the character. That's all for now.

I've had enough of Wolverine and his X-Men. I've had just about enough of these comic book movies..Can't we go one year without one?

That's nice. Now they need to get an award winning effects crew to fix the crap we saw in the last movie. Seriously, I thought Elektra was a better movie than Wolverine.
