Posted by: friendly neighborhood on April 28, 2009 at 02:02:26
pretty cool ! The shots of deadpool teleporting himself in the second spot is awesome !
I wasn't so thrilled about this movie in the first place, but now i gotta say it looks good ! f*** the leaked version it only takes a bunch of losers to criticise a incomplete version of a movie...losers
Posted by: the ace of knaves on April 28, 2009 at 02:38:00
Yea the fight with Weapon XI is pretty bad ass...right up until he starts shooting optic blasts, that just kills it.
Posted by: Batfan on April 28, 2009 at 03:02:36
look...yeah we all know the leaked version wasnt finished CG wise, and 18 min is missing from the film. 18 min WILL NOT SAVE THIS MOVIE! The best CGI in the world does NOT make up for lack of story or general care for a film and/or its audience
Posted by: ennis lawrence on April 28, 2009 at 03:40:37
to mr. jackman, you are one of the only genuine good guys in hollywood, you really seem to care about the character of wolverine and the fans and you seem to be grateful for the oppurtunity to entertain us. please don't allow the negative opinions of some to discourage you. for those of us who go into this with the idea of being entertained will undoubtedly will be. this movie looks awesome and i for one hope you continue to make more wolvie movies. for all the lunkheads who ***** about this movie, here's an idea get funding, write a script, and make your own by the book movie. good luck with that. mr. jackman, dude do what you do best bub, keep wolvie alive and kicking ass. my respect man.

EPIC FAIL FOX
"those two seconds of deadpool teleporting..." my god.... baraka, mortal kombat 1998.... piece of shhh

I will still see this movie, you have to disregard the comic story a little bit because it is trying to appeal not only to us comic book geeks, but as well the general public. Most of you expect a perfect representation of the comics but that NEVER happen, hell even Marvel change the origins of Wolverine a little bit, read the ultimate comics and accept change in fictional characters is inevitable.
Posted by: Indestruktible on April 28, 2009 at 05:49:50
yeah, samurai blades coming out of the forearms and teleporting and optic beams sure is a "disregarding the comic story a little bit". Just seeing that totally ruins it for me.

Batfan, tell that to The Watchman, it had a story and died and ugly death. People want action in comic book movies. I am not saying you are wrong, it is just the state of today's movie watching crowd.
Posted by: Batfan on April 28, 2009 at 06:10:00
Baddog..agreed to a certain point. Watchmen isnt called the Unfilmable comic for nothing. Snyder at least tried to tell a story. I give him that much...yes it did bomb, but, action carries only the opening weekend. If Hollywood wants CONTINUOUS revenue/support...make something that will keep audiences coming back. All I have to say is Dark Knight. Story and a crap load of action. Thanks for the support lol :)
Posted by: Lauren Shuler Donner on the Future of Gambit and D on April 28, 2009 at 06:30:12
IESB Exclusive: Lauren Shuler Donner on the Future of Gambit and Deadpool
Gambit, she says is one of her favorite characters, he's "such a rogue."
Will we see Gambit in the upcoming X-MEN FIRST CLASS film? Nope, we won't see Gambit in that, he wasn't part of Xavier's first class a the school, but it looks like we may be seeing him in his own spin off film.
Donner says, "There are internal discussions" about a Gambit spin-off and "they are going to figure all that out."
What about bringing back X-MEN and X2 director Bryan Singer for another go around?
"Nothing would please me more than to bring Bryan [Singer] on for another movie. And, if it's like the first Deadpool or the first Gambit, I think, I mean, I hope he would be interested..."
Looks like the X-MEN franchise isn't going anywhere and still has a few tricks up her sleeve.
Deadpool and Gambit are coming if Lauren Shuler Donner has her way, and she usually does.

can't people jusat separate the comics from the movie? i've read every incarnation of x-men there is i've seen all the different cartoon versions, why is it easier for me to simply put this in perspective and say this is another medium for this character? for comic fans is it so hard to imagine this version of wolverine happening in another universe? for comic fans why is it so hard to take this origin of wolverine and say we can start from here and go a new direction? i am psyched for this movie and i withhold my opinion until after i've seen THE COMPLETED MOVIE. i mean really what kind of a-hole looks at an incomplete action film and says it sucks. folks have an open mind when you see this movie, thats all i'm asking.

i havent watched the leak.. does the scene where deadpool teleports to and fro look the same in the leaked version?
Posted by: Omar on April 28, 2009 at 08:57:46
@ennis lawrence:
Finally someone on here who has a brain. I couldnt agree with you more.
Don't let all the dumb-asses here bother you with all their crap opinions. They whine and scream and wah wah wah about this movie but they will be in line like everyone else to see it.
If they really new Wolverine and how many times his whole story has been changed in the comics they wouldnt be pissing and moaning so much but thats just the point, they dont know crap about him and like to act like they do.
I think the movie is going to be a great ride and I will see it in the theatres.
Oh on another point, The Dark Knight was a mediocre movie!!!! Bale's voice for Batman was ridiculous. The story line was so so and the only reason why all you fanboys pee your pants over this is because unfortunately this was Heath Ledgers final full performance.
So stop comparing every damn comic book movie to The Dark Knight and for gods sake get a creative user name batfan or here's a weird idea...use your own name...I know scary isnt it?!!

Maybe this will help a lil bit.
***Possible Spoiler***
Director Gavin Hood made an appearance at one of the early press screenings for his upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine. As you can expect the director appeared in front of the audience with a heavy heart when discussing the highly publicized leak that occurred early this month. Hood was visibly upset, and emotional when discussing the incident. He acknowledged that neither he nor the studio knows how this will effect the box office reception of the film. He used this as an opportunity to explain to the fans how “unfinished” the bootleg is and how the theatrical version is worth the wait.
See what Hood says was missing from the leaked copy after the jump.
Hood confirmed that Wolverine was downloaded from an Avid computer, and gave some specifics about what was missing from the footage.
There are a total of 967 special effects used in the film, and 400 are missing from the leaked copy.
There was no music present just a temporary score.
The sound wasn’t edited.
There was no color time.
It was low resolution.
Overall, Hood wanted to emphasize that you should wait to see the finished product. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because there are certain things that were added later on that you wont find online. He told the audience that there are two Easter Eggs present at the end of the theatrical version of the film. The only catch is that they will be shown at different screenings, not simultaneously. I’m assuming that means if you see one, you probably will have to catch another show to see the other.
Word on the street is that one of them may have something to do with another franchise that has been talked about quite a bit recently… but we’re not giving that away!
Can't Wait!

you guys do know that they actually changed alot of the movie because of the leaked version right? Also they're releasing 2 different versions of the film i heard, both with different endings, so depending on where you see it can depend on how it all ends.....stay after the credits, that's all i gotta say
