An extended scene from X-Men Origins: Wolverine has gone live at the Papa John's website in Windows Media Player format (or you can watch it directly in Windows Media Player via this link). It is the helicopter scene of which you've seen glimpses in the trailers.
Opening in theaters on May 1st, the Gavin Hood-directed prequel stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins.

AMAZING! That actually looked like a Wolverine comic book, i hope the rest of the movie can do it right as well. I would love to see what that scene would have looked like with the costume.

That was nice! Had that Popcorn summer movie vibe. This scene looks totally different with all the effects.. good job.
Posted by: Bomtron on April 16, 2009 at 11:49:45
It looked like the whole scene was shot on a sound stage.
Something that has bothered me since the first time they started showing this clip is how when Wolverine cuts through the Hummer his arm doesn't even budge. It seems to me the laws of physics would dictate that there would be a little resistance. It's like he was just cutting through butter instead of cutting through a huge military vehicle moving in the opposite direction of himself.
Maybe that's how it would really happen, but it looks odd to me.

Enough of this. Lets wait till after may 1st.

The adamantium claws can pretty much cut through anything like butter so it's a pretty accurate respresentation in my opinion.

OK, every thing they showed here Ive seen in the online version. I hope they really add some new stuff cause this movie was pretty boring.
Posted by: ttop33 on April 16, 2009 at 12:00:35
Yeah except wolverine would never be driving a motorcycle towards a hummer so he could cooly cut down the side of it. This crap looks retarded. If you enjoy a sissy teenybopper version of wolverine that is filmed like a made for mtv movie I guess you might enjoy the clip.

Wow... you people are intent on nit picking this thing to death. Since when do the laws of physics apply in summer blockbusters? Name one that got it right. Yeah, it is because you can't. We're all going to go to it... we may or may not have a good time... but let's face it we'll all be thankful that it wasn't as bad as FF, Devil, or that still-steaming pile Spider 3 (and for the record y'all really forgot what a really bad comicbook movie looks like... bat&robin anyone?) Lets breath... relax... and try to worry about more important things.

umm ttop3, thats straight from the comic. I remember that exact scene from a comic issue last year. However, i really, really hope your wrong about the teenybopper version of wolverine. don't like how his hair is a little too perfect in every scene.
But its wolverine! on screen!!! we all know we are going to see it regardless so lets stop frontin'

I'm not watching this, or the leaked movie.... i hate how people are still nit picking these X-Men movies,(not that i don't : )) did'nt you learn from X3.it's time to just roll with this franchise. The x-men movies could be a lot worse (g-rider,FF,Electra)Write a script fanboys cause thats the first step for a great accurate comicbook movie to come out, from people who know the material. Also don't you relise that anything can get the reboot too. describe costumes to the tee in your scripts, good luck and f.y.

this is actually the scene dat foreshadowed how lame this movie would b and boy was i right when i saw this in the trailers in the movie theaters i was like wow how cheesy can u ****ing get then some daring, brave and a man full of courage and liberty stole and leaked this movie on the net which saved me my 10 bucks i wish 2 find that person 1 day and say thank you

The only problem I had with this movie was the liberites they took with the Wade Wilson/Deadpool character. If I wanted to see the exact same thing that happens in the comics, I'd read them. This is a different medium, and as such is open to different interpretation. It's no different than the big screen adaptation of someone's favorite novel. There are just some things that will not be, and shouldn't be, filmed.

will do well, im sur (financially)...but it is ****ty. The direction is limp and lifeless-it feels like a real bad, low-budget t.v. show more than a big budget film. And, the side characters are terrible (light bulb guy and blob-SO LAME)..and deadpool is cool, but not in it enough.I am VERY surprised at how awful, and how it breathes absolutely nothing new into the wolverine story. your better off, re-renting ANY of the x-men turds(which are BETTER that this film).Jackman, your much better than this-but I UNDERSTAND, its a check.i hear ya!

That was good.I hope FOX didnt make this movie PG-13.

would've been better if they let a REAL, proven frnachise director make it. Instead, they hire Gavin Hood!? how? Why? theres a 5 minute scene in somolia...and i guess since he made TOTSI-they figured...hey, this guy is perfect! did they not watch tosi(VERY over-rated...down right boring) and his 1st hollywood film (Rendition)-another MASSIVE turd.i REALLY think the problem lies in the direction. There are TOO MANY laughable moments to mention in this ****.
But, sadly...i predict it makes $70-$80 mill opening weekend. And, I PRAY they get a new director the 2nd time round.Ad, oh yeah, have wolvie KILL people.

Actually Humvees were put into production in 1969-1970 as a private venture..i think HA

This wasn't even a good popcorn movie because I was bored watching it. This clip is one of the best scenes in the whole movie and it's good for what it is. The movie doesn't get better it gets worse. They phoned this one in.

I think the real question is why Wolverine is still on Hudson's chopper?
I'll buy the claws slicing INTO the hummer, and if he was the Hulk, he could slice completely through it and then some... but the bike is not adamantium, and it is not the Juggernaut.
He would be taken with the Hummer or thrown off the chopper.
That's not nitpicking, folks.
Nitpicking is wondering why Gambit's eyes are only red when he uses his powers, or why Agent Zero's face is never concealed by any ski-mask.
My question is why, if Fox is looking to promote the movie, do they show the same scene that comes at the end of just about all of their trailers.... as exclusive content. The finished effects barely look any different here.... or am I missing something?
(Ok, I am going to nitpick)
Agent Zero talks like someone out of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat in this scene. It just sounds...odd.
I actually think the best action scene in the movie is where Gambit is fighting Logan... until it goes Looney Tunes with the fire escape.

Shayera, do you even understand what you wrote? The bike not being adamantium has nothing to do with it. He's on the bike which give him momentum. He goes to the side of the hummer on the bike and uses his razor sharp, indestructible claws to slice thru the humvee. The claws are meant to be able to slice thru ANYTHING easy, so it makes sense. And then i think he stays on the chopper to make sure it goes down, but yes, i think he just as easy could have kept flying thru the air after cutting the blades and watched it go down. But who cares, it looked cool.
