XMenFilms.net has learned from 20th Century Fox that the studio is targeting The Day the Earth Stood Still for the launch of its first X-Men Origins: Wolverine teaser trailer. The Keanu Reeves-starrer opens in conventional theaters and IMAX on December 12th. We'll have to wait and see if the studio will release the teaser earlier online that week.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, directed by Gavin Hood, stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins. It opens May 1st.

Saw a teaser trailer at SDCC08, looks like it might be decent.

The Dude said "Saw a teaser trailer at SDCC08, looks like it might be decent". Are you kidding? Decent? This movie is going to blow what you know about the X-Men out of the water. People went nuts for it, and so will moviegoers when the official trailer debuts in December. This film will probably do Iron Man numbers at the box office, possibly more. Jackman pours his heart into this character, and it shows.

THIRD! This is the first time a ever get to be on the top of the list. Let's see if this spin off kicks. I'm really tired of that crapy "prequel" thing. I'm not interested in origins and these movies are made for a specific target: the comic book people, who know everyones origin, how they made the costume, why they made it and the motive behind the hero. Bring on continuity and good stories. Move forward.

Wolverine is the best at what he does.

Hmmmph....

Maybe thay can bring new life to this franchise!

I have no doubt that this movie will be beautiful,I just hope they scrap what ever they had planned for the Magneto movie...no one wants to see that! Stick to characters they can bank on.

Wolverine in the x-men movies always seemed too calm and non-berserk enough for me. It's probably Mr. Singer's and the film rating's fault. Hopefully they make his fights reflect his martial arts background and twisted mind.

GAMBIT!!!!

and

DEADPOOL!!

goodness...

this movie is going to be a ball, and especially with the top notch cast list

Posted by: nelson on November 6, 2008 at 02:17:15

if they make wolverine act like he did in begenning of x1 aka cage fight/bar scene/ then it should be good he has to be more bezerk it is before he meets the x men

Posted by: ARTaylor on November 6, 2008 at 02:42:43

So I get to see the teaser trailer and the Keanu Reeves movie's thrown in for free.

Posted by: Keith on November 6, 2008 at 02:54:16

Yeah, cause Fox has done amazing with past comic book properties so they couldn't screw this one up.....right...anyone? Buller?

Posted by: nelson on November 6, 2008 at 02:56:27

Its about freakin time. Go The Goatman.

This movie is gonna rock. Wolverine is by far the best X-Men member in my book. Also one of the best Marvel character of all time. He'd be tied for first with the Hulk for me.

Hi. X-men is awesome by the way. Wolverine is definitely going to blow Ironman out of the water. Up the ante MARVEL. Deadpool, Gambit, Blob, Angent Zero?, n' i think EMMA FROST will be in the movie. I can't wait (Jittering).

Man, Marvel ruins these kind of movies with lame directors and Advertisements in movies! I'm sure it'll be a good Summer movie but it wont do what The Dark Knight did and it'll easily fade away in time..

Finally sum claw action!

Posted by: mar-vell on November 6, 2008 at 05:11:35

After the huge dissapointment "X-Men 3" I don't trust them to make a great movie. And for everybody who thinks thats for the comic book guys, common it's a fox not a marvel film, it won't have much in common with the comics. Ryan Reynolds a deadpool could be cool. And dont' get me wrong, I like Gambit, but what is he doing in Wolverine's backstory?
Jackan is a good actor but this movie will be nive not more, perhaps not even that.

Posted by: pipemania on November 6, 2008 at 06:28:31

bout time, the only worry i have is why is gambit in the orgin of wolverine, he has nothing to do with wolverine, gambit should of been in X3, the studio realised that after the film came out and just desided to throw him in wolverine, i have no doubt that if magneto was the first film after X3 then gambit would be in that

marvel need to gain the rights to the x-men and do the storys some justice instead of fox just throwing characters in where ever they please

Posted by: StormX on November 6, 2008 at 06:31:26

Um.... I'm sorry but the teaser trailer that was screened at Comic Con was the biggest piece of **** ever. Seriously, it looked terrible. There's no way it will surpass Iron Man in the box office. I'm not saying Iron Man was good, but I doubt it can surpass it.

Can't wait to see Gambit in action though...

The first two X-Men films sucked balls; they had bad actors and the X-Men themselves were hardly recognizable. Then again, What can you expect from Bryan Singer. The third movie was just a joke. So naturally, I have zero expectations on this one.
