Bekmambetov Wants Jolie Back for Wanted 2
August 25, 2009
MTV talked to Wanted 2 director Timur Bekmambetov, who says they may have figured out a way to bring Angelina Jolie back for the sequel:
"If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax," Bekmambetov told MTV News. "We know how to do this, but it's still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head."
"But there has to be a reason for her to come back... and we know the reason," he added. "I think we found the reason for her to come back."
He added that he thinks the Universal Pictures follow-up will shoot this winter. The first film, which cost about $75 million to make, earned $341.4 million worldwide.

Eh, sure, why not? if the rest of the movie is sweet, i can live with a bullet to the brain..hell, there's guys on the medical channel that survive with railroad spikes thru the head.

Reason: 'because she's smokin hot' ...perhaps?
Posted by: culvi on August 25, 2009 at 16:43:50
Of course he does. She is the only reason any one went to see part 1. Without her in the second it would flop FOR SURE. It may even flop with her in it because it wasn't all that to begin with...

Please bring back the Dodge Viper as well.

Maybe this time they'll make something that actually resembled the fraternity in the original comic
fat chance though

Well hell, they can throw Sloan, Cross and everyone else in the bath and just bring them all back. I'm guessing they hold them off for part 3 though.

mm....mm..m..Why?
I still don't get why she is hot?
Beside the point, I am not looking forward to this film. The 1st film took me by surprise and it was actually very entertaining. However, I think they should just leave it alone. This film will just down grade everything. Remember "Saw"? it was original and decent, but now look at how it has been down graded to tard.

Agreed with all the peaps that say it's going to suck! I was so dissapointed with the first one. I loved the comic, it was one of the best minis I've read in awhile. Pure Millar on mescaline type stuff but the movie was so horrible! I think James MacAvoy is a fantastic actor (Last King of Scotland anyone?) but even he couldn't carry that pile! As for Angelina she's so bad as an actress she's like the female Van Damme! One trick pony with nice yabbos and amazing lips, but have you seen her lately? Haggard!!!

i can understand wanting the character back, but i think they're doing this all wrong. you should have a story down and a definite reason to bring the character back, not try to fit her in somewhere for some reason just so you can have the actress back.

The first one was an amazing film!

The reason for her to come back?
$$$$
Still, should be neat watching them think they're outsmarting everyone as they over-explain the situation.

To all those people on this board complaining that Angelina Jolie is nothing special nad not that hot -- you need to get your eyes checked, or your noses out of Power Girl comics because it takes more than just big huge gajungas to make a girl hot. That being said, if you don't think Angelina Jolie is hot, then youre taste for women must be in line with that of lizards.
I only ask Mr. Bekmambetov one thing: In the first film, we had a rear shot of Angie's nude ass. In this film, give us honey comic book losers a shot of her front. *drops to knees* Please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaseeee!!!!!!!!!! It would make my life worth living *cries*

She's not hot but sexy as hell. There is a difference. Only Eva Mendez is both, IMHO. PLus, she's very flexible, as seen in the first one so she needs to be back.

I'm probably one of the few that loved the movie AND the comic book. I can understand the changes, as Wesley is a real scumbag in the comic book and audience wouldn't like the character. Plus Wesley's father issue was more believeable in the movie than the comic book.
Still I want to see Angelina return. She didn't say much, but she somehow energized the flim and I can't imagine her not being in it

great comic, horrible movie
Posted by: theman on August 25, 2009 at 19:54:09
she is not hot, she looks too old and really looked bad in wanted, halley berry should had played that part and she is hot, I don't care if I spelled her name wrong or what you know what i mean
Posted by: GK1 on August 25, 2009 at 19:59:51
considering this is damn near nothing like the comic book it should be called "Sorta Wanted 2"
Posted by: fanboy420 on August 25, 2009 at 20:13:21
not too shabby... of course i think they should have added in halle berry to play, i guess, the "real" Fox. i mean, thats what her character was based upon in the comic. ( Timur better get more characters from the comic this time around! the mechanic was never even in it)

Unless the reason is: "She morphs into Halle Berry, then she and Wesley Gibson investigate wrongdoings of a secret fraternity of SUPERVILLAINS who are running the world and occasionally kick the crap out of interdimensional superheroes to steal a radioactive condom. And then one of the four leaders of the fraternity decides he wants to make everything public and begins to kill off members of the fraternity. And just in general there is a plot, instead of some stupid loom. Then I'm not interested.

When I watched this movie in theaters it was crap, when it came out on blu ray and i bought it (i buy every comic book/graphic novel movie no matter what) and re watched it, it was still crappy but it kinda grew on me. I just hope they make this one a lil more geared as to how the books were. Start off with a whole new cast tho.

Sowega Slim: "I think that they could pull it off. It is a comic book movie after all. "
