Wanted? Hahaha...that pathetic movie doesn't know what it wants to be.
A wannabe Matrix wannabe Fight Club wannabe Superhero movie.
What a joke.

Twilight for best movie, give me a *** break. This is nominations are stupid. What the hell is Prom Night in there for? I watch that and the allege villain didn't scare me one bit. I don't think I'm watching this crap this year. THIS IS A F*** JOKE MTV.

Posted by: Darkhawk on May 4, 2009 at 11:37:03

ok ummm, why isn't The Incredible Hulk nominated for anything? That was a damn good movie, way better than Wanted and Hellboy II.

Posted by: Darkhawk on May 4, 2009 at 11:38:45

heck, even better than twilight and all those other ***** ass movies!

Posted by: Rico on May 4, 2009 at 11:39:45

I'm really happy about any long due recognition... People used to laugh at geeks, now we rule heheh... Just hoping the studios would stop to exploit too much the trend cause de best is to come (I hope) If they keep producing anything and everything, the rotten ones will affect futur possible "DK" or "Iron-Man"... please no more Spirit, Elektra or Antman!!?? How can a Antman movie could possibly be good!??

Posted by: RobRod on May 4, 2009 at 11:41:19

awesome

Posted by: Hellboy on May 4, 2009 at 11:42:03

best action sequence should be when edward cullen stops the van from crushing bella with his bare hands! LOL

twilight is sooooooooooo LAME!! and so are these MTV movie awards!!!

Posted by: marvelfan on May 4, 2009 at 11:43:28

hellboy 2 deserves to be nominated. the hulk was not better than hellboy 2. i'm not sure if me and u are talking abut the same movie, but the only things that were on the same level or better than hellboy last summer were the dark knight and iron man. sumer 2008 was such a great year for superheroes.

Posted by: From Hell on May 4, 2009 at 11:47:27

I agree With Marvelfan...
Hellboy II was really good.
Hulk was just OK.
MTV is Lame.

Hulk was freaking awesome, i dont know what you guys are talking about...

Posted by: A sphincter says what...?!? on May 4, 2009 at 12:02:53

MTV has not been relevant since the mid 90's and this list shows just how out of touch they really are there may be possibly five good movies on that whole list...and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO phkn tired of hearing anything about TDK....get over it, it was great ...lets move on.

Posted by: dcHulk on May 4, 2009 at 12:03:06

I agree with Darkhawk. Besides this, these nominations are a joke. Just how are these determined exactly?

I was absolutely thrilled my that 15 min short film called "Iron Man". Now, that 111 min movie called "Tony Stark" sucked. And, "Rico", when the time comes that we actually have the cgi to pull it off without making me blush, Antman could be 100% awesome so easily...

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

nominated for best movie? why hasn't anyone complained about that?

That is enough to prove how little credibility there is to this MTV Movie Awards.

THIS IS A BUNCH OF BULL****

Posted by: Rico on May 4, 2009 at 12:43:59

@ FeebleofHoole

Heheh! Man I love your take on "Iron Man" For that, I'll humor you for the Antman.

....

I'm a comic shop owner, I hear "wannabe critics" all week long... most of the time they're good "from their point of vue"; (sometimes... Ok many times... comments are just plain stupid).

They wanna hear what I think... I say,as long as you're having fun watching the movie... I mean 5 "die hard fans" making 5 diffent Wolverine movies, even if its the same script, you would get 5 completely different movies, you can't please everyone.

I say I had fun With Hellboy, Wanted was okay, Iron Man too... In any case has long has I have fun buying a ticket, I'll support these movies...

I liked the Incredible Hulk a lot, still haven't seen Hellboy II. Although the recognition of the genre is good, I don't want them to somehow become the arbiters of what is a good superhero film or not, they should just stick to what they know, which definitely isn't superhero flicks....twilight, are they serious? Superhero hype should co-host an awards ceremony with somebody like the Sci-Fi channel or Spyke.

Guys HSM3 won Best movie in the 2009 Kids Choice Awards and this show is VERY similar to that so with that said I wonder who will will Best movie in the 2009 MTV Movie Awards?

Easy isn't it?

Posted by: Dave G on May 4, 2009 at 13:28:11

MTV awards... who cares... it's MTV there is no credibility

Posted by: The Dude on May 4, 2009 at 14:16:47

Sounds good to me. People really need to stfu about Wanted. It was a great action flick any way you shake it. And yes, even though the Hulk was good, at least it was beat out in this category by superior movies. It makes me feel good to say that even as good as it was, there were still better movies last year. It's a wonderful feeling.

Posted by: rteker on May 4, 2009 at 14:25:36

umm How is 'Wanted' a superhero movie????
Watchmen is a superhero movie
Incredible Hulk is one and IronMan is another but Wanted is in now way a superhero film

Posted by: HappyPalooza on May 4, 2009 at 14:33:00

Incredible Hulk was so overlooked in general, like people don't realize it exists. Way better than Wanted, which I thought was really overrated.

Anyway no Seth Rogen vs. Ray Liotta in best fight? Now that was sick.

Posted by: Padrote on May 4, 2009 at 14:49:08

Isn't it a little late in the year for these awards, I mean we are already into this years summer flicks? It seems to me that most people have moved on, and so should MTV.

Posted by: ixtraker on May 4, 2009 at 15:02:11

.........as if i care what MTV says/thinks. BS to me. i quit watching mtv since 1999. Wanted?... the only reason is beacuase angelina jolie is in it. The incredible hulk was the best for, even better than TDK, and i'm a batfan.

i don't watch that mtv crap...

Posted by: FeebleofHoole on May 4, 2009 at 16:21:23

I appreciate your flattery, Rico. I also had fun with HB Golden Army, in fact, I went to a late night showing and I can say it was the most fun I had at the movies last year. Overall, I did not think it lived up to the first one in character development, and I hated how HB left BPRD. The original is just so much classier.
