OMG! More fast paced action that doesn't make any sense!

Posted by: TPJR on June 18, 2008 at 15:40:14

I don't know, I think it looks pretty cool...

Posted by: Deck Officer on June 18, 2008 at 16:00:43

No.

God dammit! why do they even call this "wanted"one of the best superhero related properties of the past decade that was chock full of wit and brilliant comic book satire is reduced to yet another generic gun-fu badass assassin movie that wouldve looked fresh in 2001. where are millar's testicles. someone oughta kidnap him and toughen him up like the innefectual hero he wrote about, and he wouldnt hollywood degrade his comic book gems into trite matrix throwbacks../.

At least Wall-E is pretty much guaranteed to be good...

Posted by: Your Name Here on June 18, 2008 at 16:56:41

A for effort, but... yawn. Would it REALLY have been a stretch for the producers to stick closer to the source material? Oh, that's right. At the end of the day, it's about a s s es in seats and screw the real fans.

Posted by: Jay on June 18, 2008 at 17:01:07

OH BOY I SURELY DO WANT MORE :P!!!!!!!!!

........ Oh wait I've seen this before, I think it was called Tomb Raider...Or wait, just about any action movie for the past 2 decades.

Posted by: Can you say RENTAL on June 18, 2008 at 17:44:44

The more I see the clips the more I think Matrix meets B Porno. Jolie is smokin hot, and I dig Freeman, but this one is way out there. Curving a bullet.... ok......

christ, when will people learn? gun-fu flick? chock full of wit and comic book satire? sure, wanted was a great book and had some great ideas, but substance and coherency kinda went out the window when millar found out that he could say **** every other word and it became a teenage powertrip "gun fu" scramble for some semblance of plot by the end that he completely phoned in. as far as confusing action sequences, yeah, they're pretty disjointed now, but has anyone seen the movie? you think that maybe, just maybe it might make more sense in the movie? look all i'm saying is that after seeing what this guy can do in Nightwatch and Daywatch, i'm willing to have a little faith. the original wanted wasn't shakespeare and if you really think it was then grab a whole bunch of money, gather your local d&d chapter and see i you can do any better.

WHERE'S JASON STATHAM!!!

Posted by: Fallengaystar on June 18, 2008 at 20:36:31

haha, this movie makes me laugh cos it looks so cheesy...but none the less...im gonna watch it...

Posted by: Jay on June 18, 2008 at 20:45:55

Hm, good observation Rich, except when you use "i" referring to yourself it's supposed to be capitalized. Also, it's not our job to make a decent movie, it's theirs, and they-hahaha- they're totally missing the mark and putting all their chips on incessant marketing schemes, it's like a rated-R Jumper. I mean, sure, I have my hangups with Hancock but it's more of a superhero movie (Ala My Super Ex Girlfriend) than Wanted is, yet Wanted is getting all of the exclusive clips. They're desperate. Plain and simple.

Posted by: Jay on June 18, 2008 at 21:22:15

Reminds of the marketing for Incredible Hulk. They're so desperate. It's like they're using ads to get people to watch their movie. Oh wait, that's what marketing is. I'm ga.y and simple.

Posted by: VanillaHomebrew58 on June 18, 2008 at 23:41:04

the last line of the movie is "what the **** have you done lately?" i just saw an advanced screening and the movie kicks ass.

Posted by: Kid Dropper on June 18, 2008 at 23:53:20

yeh ill probably give it a shot all said and done

Posted by: Kid Dropper on June 19, 2008 at 00:36:34

but damn i wish they made it more like the book. is it so hard to ask for a film with a ton of costumed heroes and villains? not just one hero and a couple villains? ah well at least we get watchmen next year.

Posted by: germafobe on June 19, 2008 at 01:01:56

i think uncle fester needs his own movie, right? who cares about wolverine?

Posted by: Drunken Monk on June 19, 2008 at 03:14:46

redpanda, Just for the record in case you missed it before...if you're going to put a spoiler in a comment THEN ****ING TYPE "SPOILER" BEFORE IT! So you don't spoil movies for people who haven't seen them yet. I couldn't care less if you didn't like Shylaman's last movie because I couldn't care less about you, but clearly you couldn't care less about anyone on these boards or you wouldn't have blurted out something essential to the movies plot in an otherwise pointless rant about Hollywood.

Stupid, bitter ****
