Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen earned yet another $36.7 million on Friday to bring its three-day domestic total to $125.9 million.

While "Revenge of the Fallen" is heading for a five-day worldwide box office record, it is estimated that its domestic haul over the same frame could be more than $190 million.

The Dark Knight holds the five-day opening domestic record with $203.8 million. "Revenge of the Fallen" could earn $115 million this weekend for a five-day total of $205 million.

The DreamWorks/Paramount release is currently playing at 4,234 theaters, 169 of which are IMAX.

This movie cost me 58$ in tickets plus 40$ in popcorn and snacks. That about the only complaint I have.

Undeserving

Really doesnt deserve to beat the Dark Knight. The Action was good in Transformers but that was about it. The Dark Knight was genius.

I wasn't a huge fan of the movie(weak plot, bad acting, etc) but that's still mighty impressive. Gotta give it up for Bay. The man knows how to make an action movie. And if there's anything we owe the man, it's for bringing Megan Fox into our little geeky, fan boy, lives.

I don't want to devalue ANYBODY's opinion of this movie (whether it is good or bad)...but you kinda gotta be a "weirdo" not to like this movie. I enjoyed ROTF. Of course there are aspects of this movie where I am critical. I ESPECIALLY dislike the writers interpretation of Jetfire/Skyfire. But overall, I enjoyed this movie. To me, it was good. Not GREAT...but good. I am NOT looking forward to a 3rd Transformers movie. I am scared of how the writers might "butcher" EVEN MORE aspects of the Transformers universe. But I'm not stupid though. Money talks, so I expect that there will be a 3rd. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, don't let the negative criticisms deter you. ROTF is a GOOD movie!!!

This was a fun movie. But if it beats TDK then that says some really disturbing things about modern society.

Posted by: Allan on June 27, 2009 at 15:20:42

who cares,it won't beat " The Dark Knight "

Posted by: I am Jack's comment poster on June 27, 2009 at 15:21:15

I liked the movie, but that is about as far a I can go with that. I can't say it was really good, there was a lot of things that got annoying, like the room mate and the twins after awhile and if the writers get as much freedom in the next one as this one then I'm more then likely I'll be disappointed.

Posted by: Fanboiii on June 27, 2009 at 15:24:47

I wouldn't say it was better than the first. I think it was just as good, which means I had a blast. There was a bit more action and they had the same sense of humor as the first.

Anybody else notice, how the "Sam's being chased scene" was similar to the first movie...

1.Sam being chased by Megatron and Starscream, cause he is carrying something they want.

2. First movie-Ironhide: "Sam, get to the building!"
Second movie-Ironhide: Sam, get to the Pillars!

Still upset Barricade didn't come back.

The movie was AWESOME!!!!! Better than the first one.

Let's keep one thing in mind, this is all possible because it's probably on a lot more screens than what other movies, past or present, opened with. If this is so, it only means that it's true audience will get to set it in a matter of five days. What we need to look at is the second week and beyond. I think this movie will drop off dramatically by the second week. It will probably come close to 400 mil by the end of its run.

Posted by: Zero on June 27, 2009 at 15:37:04

It won't beat Dark Knight's 5-day total. It's not going to make 80 million more on today and Sunday. It'll probably make about 60. Giving it a 185 5-day total. Which is really good.

And it won't come close to DARK KNIGHTS $500 Mill.

Man, Bay really knows how to get butts in the seats! Those twins were awesome! Loved how they talked and looked and how one them called someone "*****." Loved all the humor, mom on pot, dogs humping, the hot chicks (especially when they showed Mikaela with her ass up in the air on the bike and Alice's ass in the air with her panties showing! Sexy!), that Hispanic kid running his mouth the whole time, all the sex jokes, balls getting zapped, and, especially the military. This was a GREAT Transformers movie! Can't wait for number 3! This was better than The Dark Knight!

And I like the little bit of time the Autobots had. Excellent movie, the best ever! All the kids with their cell phone out every ten minutes were laughing their heads off! I'm going to see it again and again and again! Bay is one f-ing great filmmaker!

Oh, and the word that the site censored that one of those twins said was "n-i-g-g-a." Man, that was so funny when that robot said that. Everything they said was hilarious! And I liked how the one had the gold tooth and they both had long arms like apes. That's great humor, man!

Given the fact tickets keep going up it really isn't that impressive anymore. There is a reason we keep getting records broken. Take TDK for example, if you add inflation into the mix it really is nowhere near Titanics numbers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...and Titanic is nowhere near Gone With the Wind numbers. your "fact", albeit one, is a moot point.

Posted by: EddieBrock44 on June 27, 2009 at 15:47:56

Whoa? Bitter to TDK much? Haha! That movie must have really been mean to you...lol!

Posted by: The Rick on June 27, 2009 at 16:01:13

Ok, this movie was no where nearly as good as the dark knight so "shut up!" needs to follow his screen name and just shut up, the acting was not great like dark knights, the plot was definetly not great like dark knights, who will get an academy nominee in this movie??? exactly, but anyways, i will say i think its better then the first but not as impressive, meaning, the first one surpassed expectations and this one did not even meet its expectations, kind of confusing but you may know what i mean, yeah, but DEFINETLY NOT BETTER then the dark knight, two different leagues right there

@ Nowhere Man

"Oh, and the word that the site censored that one of those twins said was "n-i-g-g-a." Man, that was so funny when that robot said that. Everything they said was hilarious! And I liked how the one had the gold tooth and they both had long arms like apes. That's great humor, man!"

its also incredibly racist, man!

Transformers 2 was a terrible terrible movie.

what little story there was was juvenile and just awful. the whole "kill a giant robot then revive him, then kill ANOTHER giant robot and revive him" bs was like something out of a bad video game.

and what exactly was the plot? it seemed like all that happened for 2 and 1/2 hrs was the heroes go somewhere, the fight the villains, they go some where else, fight the villains again, go some where else yet again and realize "hey we havent fought over here yet" and fight the villains again. just awful

and it was WAAAAY too long.

Megan Fox's acting isnt as bad as some critics say it is, but it isnt very good either

is anyone else saddened to see such a good actor in John Tuturro go to complete waste in this trash?

the special effects were good but that was it

if you havent seen this yet, dont waste your money. walking out of the thater everyone in attendance was commenting on how bad it was

Posted by: Recycle on June 27, 2009 at 16:03:28

sorry, but I have no idea what "bitter to TDK much" means. maybe when you learn some basic grammar, you can include yourself in a discussion, which is what I was doing. it has nothing to do with whether I liked TDK or not.

no movie means that much to me, but seeing as how that was the only remark you could think of, I can see the same doesnt apply to you... pathetic!!!

Posted by: The Rick on June 27, 2009 at 16:05:47

i agree el sorcho that megan fox's acting isnt terrible but definetly could be a lot better, and yes its sad to see jogn tuturro not get great roles like he deserves, one of the most underrated actors ever

Posted by: Nowhere Man on June 27, 2009 at 16:06:37

Just for the record, I was being sarcastic. But that's hard to get across in print sometimes :) I think any intelligent adult would find this movie tedious and insulting.
