It was definitely good. Epic battles. People will complain about unsteady cameras or whatever ( mostly because they just want something to complain about and Bay is a fun target), but Bay has an eye for action for sure. The way he had the cameras moving around giant robots as the slammed each other around was a thing of beauty.
Very, very worth the price of admission.

There were a couple things in the movie that I didn't like but it didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the movie.I will be seeing it again before it leaves theaters. Without giving too much away,Optimus Prime and Bumblebee kick some major a$$. Also even though it didn't have an extra scene at the end of the credits the end of the movie left an opening for a third. Let's just say that some of the Decepticons live.

Doing pretty good for a movie that's been called "stupid, pointless and overall boring" by most critics. It's entertainment. It's simple. But most of all, it's fun. And that's what people want when they go see a film. Don't get me wrong, I love a really well written and acted story. Is there room for improve in terms of plot for TF2? Absolutely. But the main reason everyone is going to see it is because they want to see Giant Robots fight Giant Robots. It's not that mind boggling.
And the critics are saying "If anyone sees this dumb movie, that means they're dumb!" and you know what? Thats not right! Just because I enjoy a certain movie, doesn't mean I'm an idiot. I just know what I like. There's reason Baskin Robbins sells thirty one flavors. Not everyone like chocolate, ever once in a while, someone wants butter pecan.
I loved the Wrestler. I can't wait to see the Hurt Locker. I was sad that no one got to really appreciate WATCHMEN for what it is. I enjoy watching films that are greatly written, greatly acted, that are thought provoking and cause a surge of emotion within me. But every once in a while.... I just want to see !@#$ go BOOM!!!!!!!!!
SOmetimes I like to see it more than once too.
ALL HAIL PRIME!!!!

I AGREE WITH NICK AND IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THE ACTING WAS ON POINT TOO ITS JUST THAT EVERYONE WANTED TO SEE GIANT F*****G ROBOTS FIGHTING AND ALL OUT ACTION
A LETTER TO MR BAY : I HAVE A NUMBER OF IDEAS OF WHAT TO BLOW UP IN THE THIRD ONE AS WELL AS THE ROBOTS TO ADD

how is this the worst movie of the year? Street fighter comes out in like a week. DBZ came out a couple of months back. Again.. how? It delivered on everything you'd want from a robot movie.

Great, fun, entertaining movie. Can't wait for the 3rd one.

Loved the movie going to see it again tonight with friends who didn't see it yet. People who are putting it down listen it's based on toys and a cartoon show. It's not going to win oscar but it's a fun movie to see. Makes me feel like a kid again when I had all the toys and watched the cartoon. Can't wait for a third one.

The movie was good. It's a great middle of a trilogy-if it becomes one. It's an overall stand alone with motives that can cross over for a third. Middles don't always have to have a "to be continued" ending. Racist? really? The twins were obviously suburban white kids trying to be bad ass...everything you hear them said can be heard at the mall. Stop complaining.

There's no stopping this movie. Haters should just shut-up and respect the fact that a lot of people actually enjoyed the flick.

listen ppl stop apologizing for liking a fun movie with a thin story
it's just like liking a comedy cough hang over cough with a thin story
and the critics seem to be eating that up
why when bad movies come out their just meh
Dragon ball and street fighter, by far the worst of the year
but when the big successful bay movie opens massively it's "by far the worst dumbest movie of all time"
hint; ppl hate bay with no remorse and him doing well really drives them zany
that's why uh "too blurry" "too ugly" "too orange"
and critics take it ever further, somethings not right.
expect this to break a special record,
WORST REVIEWED MOVIE AND ONE OF THE ALL TIME HIGHEST EARNERS EVER
it's going to change the way our critics system works
see, their supposed to protect the audience from paying for films they probably won't like.
hmm
Posted by: jojo on June 26, 2009 at 07:14:37
then again, it could be another spiderman 3
it's just the general audience seems to really enjoy this picture, whereas they all felt let down by sm3

It was good. Just as good as the first, with better action and fight scenes. The critics are focusing on one SMALL aspect of the film, that is not even bad, and making a big deal out of it.
Posted by: What the hell? on June 26, 2009 at 08:34:30
You people are lying and telling people this movie is worth the ticket price?

@: Bloodsword6: “It was good. Just as good as the first, with better action and fight scenes. The critics are focusing on one SMALL aspect of the film, that is not even bad, and making a big deal out of it.”
Yeah that small aspect is called PLOT and they should focus on it cause without a good one this totally does suck!

I won't spend my money taking a chance on this movie. I don't like Bay and wont support his movies. I did watch it online for free and I'm glad I did. If I would have spent $9.50 to see this I would be pissed. I'm a huge fan of the G1 series and this was a let down. I'm not saying every one should not like this movie or your stupid for liking it. Opinions are like A$$h0les, every one has one. Why create new robots when big fans wanted to see some of the good characters he left out of the first one? Why? I will say thanks(throwing us a bone)for getting Peter Cullen and Frank Welker but that's it. It's a shame that those two are the only thing I found right about this movie. He really don't give a sh&* about fans, it's "Michael Bay's Transformers" even though he had no clue as to what this series was. Didn't care until he took a tour of Hasbro to see what Transformers toys looked like$$$$$cha-ching$$$$$$$.I know, what do you expect from big time directors? It is all about the money. So 80's fans and "haters" have to get over it and not waste money on **** like this. There is NO boycot cuz we are just little guys. What the hell does the mighty Hollywood care what we think?

@snakebloooddrinker
Sacred? Listen, I grew up watching the Transformers G1 cartoon and loved it, but go back and watch that thing now, it's pretty bad. Not Voltron bad, but still.
Besides, they ruined the line when they introduced Beast Wars. Optimus as a gorilla? **** that.

I went to see the movie Wednesday night and I thought it was awesome. yeah there were a couple of thing I could've done without but overall it was a very entertaining night. I would definitely go see it again. I know people were complaining about lack of Autobot screen time, but I'm sure it's only because this is the 2nd out of 3 Transformers movies and they had to show the Decepticons being a force to reckon with. I'm sure in the 3rd movie things will even out. So go see the movie, you'll be in for a fun ride!

movie was amazing!! it was so intense; anybody who hasn't seen it needs to see it right away!

So I saw the movie last night, with all the excitement of a 5 year old kid getting his first Optimus Prime. I went to the Imax, got there over and hour earlier to plot the perfect seat for my viewing enjoyment.
Then the movie began. If you are not a true transformers fan, I can see where you would enjoy the movie. However, if you grew up with these guys, remember the cartoon movie when Prime died, the struggle of Rodimus trying to become leader in season 3, the continued struggle over power, and the over all depth of story telling then I feel this movie let you down.
The writers and producer(Michael) stayed anything but true to the origin of the transformers. I watch my beloved childhood friends turn into something that was in a way lifeless. In the cartoons, there was so much emotion and you felt such a conncection to the charaters.
There is just way too much human interaction on this movie, too many amry planes, jets, ect that it took so much away from the transformers themselves. Then giving so much camera time to these "twin". What a racist profiling they did when they created these two. Who the hell are they? Why not give us charaters that we all love and can remember. It seems like this budget was pissed away on pointless scenes and not used in the manner that could of given us more robot screen time. Is it not the relationships that are invested that draw people to a film. We arnt there to see Sam, his family, and the army deal with the transformers.
We are watching because we want to see the interaction of the decepticons and autobots and their on going battle. We want to know more charaters, who there are, where they came from, what is their purpose.
In addition to these poor fight scenes, with blurred action, cameras behind pillars to block half the robot, I mean come on people SHOW US WHAT WE WANT TO SEE.
Then you create these monstrocities for robots to have them killed in one shot??? STUPID, and you give them balls??? Pathetic. They cry? They fart? They smell? They are Robots guys, come on get with the program. Watch the first few season fot he cartoon, see the original movie, read the comic books, and really feel the depth of its origin. Discover true story telling and stop tearing down something that was once so amazing.
If you cant invest the correct amount of time, emotion, dedication, and loyalty to the large fan base that is the transformers universe, then dont get involved.
Transformers 3 is a go for me if they have new writters, and a new director that will give this franchise the ability to be something that is epic
