Source:Collider
February 10, 2009

Collider caught up with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay at the Friday the 13th premiere. Bay talked about being allowed to film at the Egyptian pyramids, filming three scenes in IMAX, how the robots will have more personality, that its going to be darker and epic, that it's about 2 hours and 20 minutes right now but they're still editing, and that he would do a third film but wants to take a year off first. You can watch the interview below!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits conventional and IMAX theaters on June 26.

This Marketing has the exact opposite effect on me as it should...the more I see of this film...the less I want to see more.

I predict this film will blow harder than Hurricane Katrina!

I hope this movie has less Shia BS and more robot action.

Bay seems like he can be an *******. He seems very into himself and kinda cocky. But hey as long as he puts out a good fun movie, ill watch it.

What a douche...

I find this video hilarious! Michael Bay strikes me as a guy who simply loves what he does and has a great time doing it regardless of public opinion. He is truly a great director, and I cannot wait to see what he did with Transformers 2!

Micheal Bay is a weirdo. And strangely violent apparently.
It wasn't a bad interview though. And I'm looking forward to this summer. Not a bad line up at all. Not as great as last year's but still not bad...

I still cannot figure out why people hate Bay so much. the first Transformers was an awesome, and so are alot of his other movies. I get that all the people bashing him are probably 40 year old fat guys that still live with their mothers while they sit around on a bean-bag chair eating cheetos and watching G1 Transformers, but come on! give the guy a break please. I know the next 5 pages of comments will be all about how Bay can do F--- himself cuz you hate him, but I just dont understand why. I also know Ill probably be crucified for saying this, but I dont care cuz Ill be being crucified by the same type of dudes I just described. LEAVE MICHAEL BAY ALONE!

This movie looks Bad Ass!! Can wait to see it. Seem like Mr. Mike Bay wants to make this a 2 parter. and the movie Wolerine looks like it might suck.

Posted by: Yonix on February 10, 2009 at 11:14:37

I think Bay wasn't born a director, but a comedian. He's really funny, and you can see that because he laughs out loud a lot! [/Sarcasm]

The shown teaser of Transformers 2 didn't get me 'Hyped up' about the movie, but I loved Transformers 1. And considering the latter I think Bay will do a great job with 'Revenge of The Fallen'.

I think Luke Keith described him the best, hes a cool guy that likes what he does, so get over it.

personnally, I can't wait for this flick! don't have really high expectations, but I'm pretty sure TF:ROTF will be great. glad to know that he's in if (something tells me "if" doesn't really apply...) they're doing a third one!

Posted by: Pyrochaos on February 10, 2009 at 11:18:20

As much as I think Michael Bay is a tool, I do love me some Transformers. And the Island as well.

Bay is kinda a douche, isnt he?

Posted by: Eisbergsalatsusie on February 10, 2009 at 11:21:29

Hmmm... I'm really excited about the movie! Hopefully it will blow my mind away!

thank you bay, for crapping on one of my cherished childhood memories.

Well she said: "The movie is not done yet, it's way under two hours". So maybe in the end, after all the editing the movie will be over 2 hours. Maybe.

Sorry, wrong thread :)

Posted by: alannon on February 10, 2009 at 11:29:47

great interview; i hope the length of the movie doesn't get much shorter. and i hope it's as dark as he makes it seem.

Stan Bush songs please...

Posted by: Adab on February 10, 2009 at 12:28:40

Bay's just a goofy guy that loves to make movies that no one else sees as possible. I think he's a cool guy that can laugh at himself.
