NNNNOOOOOOOOO!! not soundwave too. Must Bay turn every Transformer into what looks like a pile of scrap metal. At least he has he's face, which is more than anyone in the first movie had except for Prime and Jazz

Oscar!...you are an idiot. People that say 'First!' on an internet site's news stories are idiots. Contribute or just don't say anything. Overall...the design is just meh to me.

@ The false R-dale Cowboy
Cool, hide behind somebody else's screen name so you can pick on people without them being able to respond to you. You must be the coolest kid on the block with your unintelligent and cowardly tactics. Can I be your friend?

wow, really liked the first movie despite certain extreme deviations from the source material(starscream, anyone?), but this looks nothing like soundwave, nor does that look like a satellite.......oh well, the toy is made, so it's set in plastic...i'll still see the movie of course, duh

Posted by: CCR on January 29, 2009 at 03:25:22

so i guess that is fallen in the poster after all

wow that thing looked stupid

This isnt Soundwave's Earth mode. It is his Cybertronian mode which is a jet. As a toy model it looks pretty darn good especially compared to the movie Starscream.

Other continuities of Transformers have established different modes and even personalities for Transformers with G-1 names.

The movie continuity is no different. It just matters whether it looks like crap or not and fortunately Soundwave doesnt look like crap (Starscream)

Looks great, they did a very good job with Soundwaves head, combining both the G1 look w/ the movie look.
I'm thrilled that Soundwave is in the film, now have my fingers crossed for Thundercracker and Skywarp.
