"Hey, how come the robots are sooo much bigger than the vehicle they transform from? Just wondering."
They're not, which is why Optimus is a different type of truck than he was in the cartoon, so that he'd have more mass in his robot form.

looks lame.
And exactly like the first one

I hope Optimus Prime's mask gets stuck so we don't have to see his stupid mouth again. Other than that I look forward to this as a fan.
Posted by: Yeqon on December 29, 2008 at 13:35:36
I don't get the mask thing. You are made of metal and can change form threw nano technology. I n turn should be able to repare yourself instantly... then again it wasn't the only thing I didn't get about this pils of crap movie. If it wasn't for Megan Fox I would stop rewatching it over and over. I should just pause it and leave my tv on the scene of her under the hood!

I can't wait to see this, but I have to agree that I definitely prefer the masked Optimus; his lips are really odd-looking. Maybe in the digitally remastered extended cut to be released in 1997.

Man almost all of you a bunch of whiny pusses. Because they haven't shown any robot pics you deem the movie an epic failure already. Grow up or I will find you and beat the crap out of all you.

kantot otobot :
I beleive your post to be the most idiotic and non-awesome thing Ive read this decade. To replace and american heavy duty diesel with some crap Nissan jap truck would be borderline retarded. Almost as retarded as replacing the new sweet muscled up Camaro with some Mitsubishi tin can. People buy american cars because they have the need for muscle and loud pipes...if your into rice burners that get great gas milage and sound like a swarm of angry mesquitos than please, overpay for a 4 cylinder Mazda and spend $10k puting parts into it. leave me my GMC 4500 Duramax Diesel with an allison transmission, keep your Nissan C20 turbo box van with optional lift gate!
oh, for the record i dig these movies, they are at least entertaining, for all of you whining movie scholars out there go rent the "Dead Poet Society" or some other intellectual movie. For the rest of us, I want to see big robots, explosions and chicks so hot my girlfriend slaps me when i say "hey baby" every time she's on screen.

I agree with Big Donte`s post.I`ve been saying that about movies like Transformers for a while now.I love loud action-packed summer escapist disposable popcorn movies as much as I love intellectual movies that make you think.
They all have their place in Hollywood, the problem is there are a lot of folks who think that there isn`t any room for popcorn movies and intellectual, dramatic pieces to co-exist.But there is.They balance each other out.
Just think about how dull things would get if we only had one without the other. That would be like eating too much of the same food group-you wouldn`t get a balanced diet.
When I go see a movie like Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen,I know what I`m getting. And I like the movie even more for that. The pictures of the Transformers sequel look good.I`m looking forward to seeing Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen just as much as I am also looking forward to seeing what will no doubt be another loud action-packed summer escapist disposable popcorn movie-G.I. Joe:Rise Of Cobra.

Too bad John Turturro's back. He was one of the worst things in the first film, along with Megan Fox and entire boring subplot about the soldiers trekking through the desert. Hell, the movie even forget about Jon Voight once they left Hoover Dam!!

Micheal bay explosions....damn it I thought he could hold off longer then that on releasing an action shot that's an explosion.

To all the people that cry about the GM cars:
Why would they diversify the cars for the movie? If they did that the budget would be inflated dramatically. I think all of you need to get off the internet and get an education. Morons.

@ Nice Guy Joey
Only people who lack the ability to think at a complex level would say something like "Let's not over think it."
I agree that there should be some movies that are action popcorn flicks that don't require thought but Transformers shouldn't fall into that category. The Dark Knight proved that a summer blockbuster will be only more successful when it not only delivers the action and effects but also gives us drama and something to think about. It was not the most complex thinking man's movie but certainly not near as dumbed down as the campy silly joke of Bayformers. (Not to mention how it was so much more faithful to the source material, but that's another discussion.)
These pics do nothing but alienate me further. It is still early but so far we have seen nothing to back up the promises of less humans and more Transformers. Would anyone want a Superman movie told from the perspective of Jimmy Olsen that doesn't even show Supes until half-way through? Or how about a Justice League movie starring Snapper Car except they change his name from Snapper to Sam.
I can't believe how many people will sit through this crap just to look at pretty pictures of CGI robots and Megan Fox (who granted, is incredibly hot, but couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. She will never be anything more than eye-candy with drug addictions.) I hope you all enjoy watching this film which will surely be as crappy as the first while those of us with better taste stay at home and watch The Dark Knight on Blu-ray with your mom.

What do you think is in the capsule in the first pic?
