Concept artist Tim Flattery has posted a batch of 15 images he produced for the first Transformers that reveal his design idea for the aircraft carrier Transformer that didn't make it into the film. Director Michael Bay had mentioned it might pop up in the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but recently producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said that wouldn't be the case.

I had a triple changer autobot back in the day that was a jet and a aircraft carrier. his name was broad something I think. Came for the series that Rodimus Prime was leader in.

I don't know how old you guys are but, a lot of you approve of so much CRAP that it's rediculous. I think YOU are the reason the film makers don't take the franchise seriously enough by adding lines about masturbation and having Bumblebee "lubricate" on a human. Mr.Bay and Co. need to get the smaller-sized Transformers designs and characterizations straightened out before forcing ginormous bots into the films.

We need tight stories with Prime and his crew struggling to deal with the threat of Megatron and the Decepticons first! Not something big like "Tidal Wave". "Devastator" made up of other normal sized bots would logically fit the bill IF YOU MUST HAVE a giant-sized Decepticon warrior. Plus it gives you 5 or 6 more unique and versatile bots for character total.

The reason why Bay didn't use the aircraft carrier is because it is too big and it wasn't in his budget AT THE TIME. For TF2, his budget is bigger and he can do a lot of things.

Regarding the concept arts, I don't know how some of you guys are seeing the Constructicons or Beast Machines Megatron. I don't see anything. All I see are wires and metals like an unfinished building.

lil4klift: his name was Broadside and he was one cool toy.

hey can anyone else tell me that the 13th pic is the same concept of Megatron as the Beast Machines megatron, they look alike. Does anyone else agree

That is either Tidal wave who is an Gigantic Aircraft Carrier he also hooked up to Galvatron and gave him a power-boost his is a decipticon he was in Armada and in Energon for a brief time.

Also it could also be Broadside he was an Autobot triplechanger that changed from Robot Mode to an aircraft carrier to an wierd looking jet type deal he was in Generation 1 in season 3 for a brief time.

But knowing how Micheal Bay and company likes to introduce new bots such as Barricade which I though he was awesome. Expect this to be a new bot not never before seen.

I highly doubt this would be anything like Omega Supreme, Fotress Maximus, Tyrpticon or even Unicron cause It is still too early for Unicron and he isnt suppose to show up until the 3rd and final movie if they decide to go in that direction.

But this is also a fakey picture like the supposed leaked teaser poster of the movie showing the new guy The Fallen.

It is an intersting concept but I dont know what to believe since Micheal Bay is throwing alot of fake postings up too keep us off-balance until the movie hits theaters next summer.

But he did say he wanted an aircraft carrier to be in the original movie but due to time constraints and the budget of the movie they didnt have enought time to put him in.

its a destroyer droid! hahahaah! the last image! hahha! awesome!

This scene on the aircraft carrier is kind of a rip off from the 2008 hit video game Crysis. It's the final scene in the video game and what the sequel hinges upon. RIP OFF! But anyway, Im gonna love T2!

Well i read though all this dribble and not one of you supposed fans of the franchise even mentioned that the Aircraft carrier could be Metroplex. Megatron an Aircraft Carrier?! Not likely since Bay said there'd be no size morphing bots (with the Exception of the all-spark Cube) and Like the T-1000 from Terminator 2, Only an Object of Equal Size. IMHO, though the movie was somewhat entertaining, I would have liked to have seen a better script, the back story resmebling a similar origin as to the comics with the Ark crashing on earth, and Frank Welker doing Megatron. The bot designs i thought were cool but Barricade was an Evil PROWL so it wasn't original, it was a rip off. Star Trek Mirror, Mirror anyone? Surprised Barricade didn't have the Black Goatee.

i think one of them is in the jungle and i think the transformer up close is cheetor cause of the backround and he has incredibly long legs

this would be sick if they put it in the second movie.

Posted by: armyof1 on August 25, 2008 at 18:37:34

think about it how did long arm come to life from a touch of the all spark so true to the script a piece of allspark could have fallen out of megatron while disposing of his remains .......something to think on
