May 31, 2008
At the beginning of the year, director Michael Bay said that Jazz wouldn't be back for Transformers 2, but it looks like things have changed. TFW2005.com writes:
The Pontiac Solstice vehicle prop of Autobot Jazz arrived on the set of Transformers 2 earlier today. In addition we've received confirmation from a second tipster that Darius McCrary, the voice of Movie Jazz, is now on set as well.
Filming for the sequel is now taking place in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at the former Bethlehem Steel site.

Can anyone tell me why everybody strokes themselves over Jazz? Seriously. I mean, he's a fairly uninteresting bot and has no real redeeming qualities that make him any more interesting than Optimus or Megatron? So tell me again why everybody was crying foul when he got wonderfully ripped to shreds, then pretty much demanded he return?

Good. Now just make him transform into two different vehicles.Along with a booming sound system to go with his name.

ahem......... Racist. i dunno how something like the jazz character gets past a brainstorm session, let alone manages to leave our nation's cineplexes un-burned.

How is Jazz racist? He isn't a race, he's a robot. He adopted a segment of human culture, in this case Hiphop.
He didn't leave the cinema un-burned... in fact, he not only got burned, he got ripped in two!
Save the racism remarks for true racists, like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson.

Umm, If I'm not mistaken, isn't Darius McCrary the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish? Jazz is Hootie?
Posted by: cowstaff on May 31, 2008 at 03:17:28
Sorry. wrong guy. Darius Rucker is who I was thinking of....
Posted by: cowstaff on May 31, 2008 at 03:19:08
Sorry. I looked him up. He was Eddy from "Family Matters". Jazz knows Urkel, then.

Well if hes coming back then its possible for some of the decepticons from the first movie to come back too.

whoa I'm not surprised after all jazz is a robot. so that does make sense. but the way they were talking in the movie was as if it was imposable for to rebuilt and revived. that was weird. this is good new though.

lol jazz knows Urkel, that's funny

I guess by "gained new ones" , prime still meant Jazz, huh?

i think it would be a bad and good idea jazz had his turn and i think we should leave it at that and give some other autobots a chance at appearing in the next movie but then again he is one of the main autobots so who am i to say im not the one directing it what ever happens will be good.
Posted by: gambit on May 31, 2008 at 04:02:54
dan, "whatever happens will be good."? WTF you realize that's not true right? That's like saying no matter what any Batman Film is going to be kickass(knowing full that it all depends on several key factors, The director, the actors, the screen writers and last/least the budget. Stupid dan. :/
