Rick Worthy Joining Heroes Cast
June 17, 2009
Former "Battlestar Galactica" star Rick Worthy is in negotiations to play a recurring role on NBC's "Heroes" next season, playing Matt Parkman's (Greg Grunberg) new partner: an experienced and capable Los Angeles cop and someone that Matt can lean on for advice.
He joins several other new "Heroes" cast additions for next season, fellow recurring Robert Knepper and Madelina Zima.
Worthy is a sci-fi veteran, having appeared on such series as "Enterprise," "Star Trek: Voyager," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Stargate SG-1," "Dark Angel" and "Odyssey 5."

does anyone else think that peter should hurry up and get his real power back?

That show is Still on? well. i can hope it gets canned and a better show takes its place. Dont get me wrong Season 1 was some of the best TV in a long time but after that.... also Syler just sucks.

Well the reason that they changed Peter's powers is to get rid of the Teleporting through time power.
I think(hope) that eventually Peter will get his powers back to the way they were.

Sylar was origannly supposed to die in season 1 but there were so many Sylar fans that they kept him around.

Great, now is the time for them to fix the mistake in season 2-3. i love heroes, but season 2-3 just keep to disappoint me. hopefully season 4 would be great as season 1. And please, please give peter his real power back. the new powers just make him like a parasite!!

Season 1 of Heroes was amazing. But since then I'll agree that it has gone downhill. I still watch every episode but I do agree with "dc", the show has gotten predictable, and while in some cases new characters are great, most of the time they just become annoying (think West from season 2) Also it's the same thing every season "Save the world" So far they saved the world from an exploding man, Sylar, evil fathers and secret corrupt government organizations. I'm waiting to see them save the world from alien invasion, Godzilla, or a meteor. I also want to ask how many Ali Larter character incarnations are we going to see. We're on three right now but either kill her off (please don't) or give her one, and only one character to play. The Jessica/Niki was the best and I wish they stayed with that.
We need a new spin on Heroes, the show is losing fans quickly, and while I will continue to watch it. I'll probably figure out what's going on 3 episodes before they reveal it. Hope Tim Kring can prove me wrong!

I think Heroes is a great show in all it's seasons and that it has a challenge to the writers to think in different aproaches on every season. For once i think people already know Sylar and that he can be a next hero getting away from a villain image. I also think a new villain should come aboard that could put Sylar and Peter against him and working together. It's a shame that Prison Break couldn't get so far as Heroes.

They're going to water this show down with this ever expanding cast. It's getting worse than a daytime soap opera. They need to get Peter back to what he was, hurry and get Hiro to his bad-ass future self, ditch Ando, get Claire out on her own (Or get her to her Peter-killing future self), ditch Suresh, send Ali Larter packing (since they can't seem to figure out ONE character for her), ditch Nathan (and all his crying about doing the right thing which turns out to be the wrong thing), scale back Sylar's powers to the point where he's desperate and even more dangerous and start up the company again with HRG and Angela running it with Parkman as their hound chasing down bad guys.

HOLY GREAT GATSBY!!! How many people are they going to add to this show? I like the show and all but too many people equals too much nonsense and not enough character building. I'll still roll with it and see what happens but I'm not getting my hopes up.

This season is going to be either really bad or decent. Odds are going to lean to really bad if every episode we are subjected to wether or not Sylar remembers who he is or not. Hopefully they just do that a couple episodes and then move on. The whole Nathan character was fairly lame all the past seasons anyways.
I think in a way at the end of last season they kind of reinstated Peter's powers by having him absorb Syler's. That basically gave him back all the powers he had sans time travel.
I guess in a couple months we will all know what's in store for us fans. I have a bad feeling personally, because they are making a big deal of the names they are signing to the show instead of hyping the show.

Red, I didn't realize that that was the reason and now that I think about it all the people that could do that (go back in time Peter, Hiro) and those who had the potential (Daphne) either lost that ability or is dead.

And to be honest, everyone who is ragging on the show think about this on Monday I personally have the choice of watching Monday night football (when it starts back up), wrestling, and Heroes. I usually end up DVRing Heroes and the two live event I switch back and forth on.
My point I've been losing interest in wrestling and if MNF does not have my Bears playing I would rather watch Heroes. Granted it has lost alot since the shows conception, but I see so much more potential in the show, they (the writers) really need to figure out what is the main goal of the Heroes and fight for that. Throwing in Sylar everyone once in awhile is OK if its Peter at full strength vs Sylar at full strength like the flash forward of in season 2 (that was GREAT!!!). Anyways, this potentially can be the last season if the writers don't get their act together, and with this economy if you have the power (no pun intended) to keep your job you better do it.

One last thing does anyone remember Peter's girlfriend from season 2??? Last thing I remember about her was that she was stuck in an alternate future I really hope the writers didn't forget about that. Or does anyone know if I missed something?

I have watched Heroes since season 1, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I accept that the people that don't like can have their own opinion, but what I don't like is them saying "Oh, Heroes is so stupid, and there is nothing that will make it better, just CANCEL it" If you dislike the show that much, just don't watch it like you so obviously have been. Just leave it alone if you think it is so bad.
Oh, and guy who watched the first HALF of season 3, you missed the best part.

I used to intern at Rick's agent's office, he's a really awesome guy and hope he can add some serious gravitas to the show. Go, Rick!
