Heroes to Return for Fourth Season
March 5, 2009
Despite a ratings decline this season, NBC plans to bring back "Heroes" for a fourth season, said entertainment president Angela Bromstad.
The Hollywood Reporter says the network plans to order 18-20 episodes of the show for next season. That's fewer hours than "Heroes" first or current third season (which each had orders of at least 23 episodes), with season two having been cut short due to the writers strike.
For all its headline-making audience erosion, "Heroes" is still tied with NBC's "The Office" as the network's top-rated series among adults 18-49 this season. "Heroes" also still performs well internationally.
The network has privately discussed setting a series end date for "Heroes," which would followed the creative model used with critical success by ABC's "Lost," SCI FI's "Battlestar Galactica" and FX's "The Shield." But even if NBC ever made such a move, Bromstad said, they wouldn't want to make next season the conclusion.

I hope next season will be a lot better than the current one. The "Villians" volume was horrible and now with "Fugitives", it's meh. They gotta do something quick to bring this show back to its season one status. It's a real shame to see how it is now. *tsk tsk*

I am suprised a bit cause I understand why many don't like some things this season(some really over exagerate though)But I am so damn happy that they get another season.
I actually enjoyed S2 and V3 But I think V4 of S3 is the best already since S1.I really hope nbc don't cancel the show anytime soon and with Fuller being back soon then I feel the show can be back to it's full glory or even better by end of next Season.

Heroes has been trying to redeem itself this season, and doing a passable job of it. They have started to lay off that whole inbred Ozark everyone's related idea (thanks George Lucas and Empire Strikes Back for inspiring generations of writers to rip you off and take it too far). It may not be yet what it once was but it is worth an hour of my time each week. It doesn't seem like too much to ask considering how much potential the show still has

Why?
Posted by: matt on March 5, 2009 at 15:00:16
everyone gets so f'in uptight bout heroes, granted season 1 was always gonna b almost impossible to top, but volume 4 has been insane, similar standard to season 1.

Such a disappointment after the first season. After season one, I guess all the writers went off and got lobotomies. Please, not another NBC slot my Tivo has to dodge.
Bleh.

Last season was terrible. This season is much better, I like the direction of the show. I hope they build upon this momentum and roll into next season with it.

I can tell you what will happen in next weeks show, and the week after, and the week after...
Claire will get in trouble, her dad get's her on her own and the coversation is:
dad: Claire, you know I'm only doing this to protect your mother and Lyle.
claire makes some sarcastic comment and storms off.
Holding shot on his face looking upset and frustrated.
Man i should write for this show!

This show has been on a downward spiral since the first season.

I've been watching heroes since it began but it's not hating to say that this season is an f-ing snooze fest and not "must see" TV.

Heroes is better than Smallville, but Smallville has it's moments of greatness few as they may be. Heroes has great potential which is wasted. instead of alternate timelines do something radical and change things and leave them like that.
I don't know how Smallville is going to get Clark to Superman with the whole world seeing him without glasses.
