Kieran Culkin Cast in Scott Pilgrim

HitFix reports that Kieran Culkin has been cast as Wallace Wells in Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's popular series of "Scott Pilgrim" graphic novels, the movie finds the title character (played by Michael Cera) having to defeat his girlfriend's seven evil ex-boyfriends in order to win her heart.

They keep on making horrible choices on the cast for this flick.

Least v.5 should be good.

The comics great and its being directed by Edgar Wright... I dont mind Michael Cera in the lead role too much, but his geeky twitchy teenager with a heart of gold act is gettin old.

from what i've read michael cera likes the ladies a little too much.
it'd put me off seeing him in a movie like this.

If you haven't read any of the Scott Pilgrims then run to your nearest comic store and pick it up because it is really good. Can't wait to see what they do with the movie. Not really sure if Michael Cera is right for the role, but if he stops playing it like all his other roles then it may be good.

/ Didn't mind Nick and Norah, thought it was a nice different kind of teen romantic comedy.

That being said, Michael Cera is a one trick pony playing the wierd kind of socially retarted kid.

Alot of the people from that comedy crew are kind of krappy, like the fat kid ( I don't even know his name it's that bad.) that teams up with Cera in Superbad and is also the host in Forgetting Sarah Marshell. Freaking Bad.

The only good thing to come from them is Jason Segel because he's creative and atleast expands to different mediums.

This is too long, so to finish, the lady that they casted to play Ramona Flowers, is the only good casting choice that they've made.

And if you have not read the trade paper back, get your ass to your local comic shop and read it from 1-4 and get volume 5 which is due out this month.

You'll understand.

Kieran Culkin SHOULD have been Young Neil. He's not snarky enough to be Wallace Wels.
Michael Cera is a bad Pilgrim. Emile Hirsch or Patrick Fugit would both be much better.

In case any of you are curious Edgar Wright has been putting up a photo a day during the making of this film. Some of the photos are vague while some will definitely remind you of places in the book. The photos are at his myspace.

Likes the ladies too much? What is too much ... Mr.cera needs to grow a beard or something though cause wow...he's getting old. The movie will soar however cause everything Mr.Wright touches turns to gold. SOTD & HF FTW.

I know who Kieran Culkin is, I am a big fan of the Culkin acting family from Macaulay, Kieran to Rory and Quinn Culkin all stars. Scott pilgrim VS. The World is based on a the graphic novel of the same name. I don't know anything about the movie but, Kieran was also supposed to star in "Daydream Nation" with Hayden Panettiere as her boyfriend. Hayden and myself share alot of common interests we will be more than just friends when we meet. It's destiny. Haven. !!!
