Brad Ingelsby to Write Sleeper
October 16, 2008
Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Brad Ingelsby to write Sleeper, an adaptation of the DC Comics/Wildstorm comic being produced by Sam Raimi with Star Road Entertainment partner Josh Donen, reports Variety.
The comic, written by Ed Brubaker, centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass the ability on to others through skin contact.
Ingelsby made his first script sale in March, selling Low Dweller for Ridley Scott to direct and Leonardo DiCaprio to star in.

He can't "pass the abilty on to others", he passes the pain on, and also heals from any injury. Freakin cool book so go read it if you get the chance before Raimi does a spidey 3 on it,

why do i keep hearing about raiming getting rights to stuff he's not making? wasn't he doing a shadow movie?
btw about what spc nut said, if no one's ever heard of it, maybe it's already screwed up. and oversoul, you liking it but dissing raimi doesn't help what people will think about it if they haven't read it.

Sam Ramin and all his pet projects to include spiderman, can all just go away already. I'm so tired of seeing his name attatched to so many cheezy, lame entertainment.
Honestly Dude, go back to your hole you came from before you got a break with Spiderman and get back to directing the Living Dead or what ever zombie college garbage that got you any pub in the first place....ie does straigt to dvd mean anything to you????

Why not make movie adaptions of the original Image comics like Youngblood, or Wetworks. Where's the remake of Spawn?

Yeah, I hate it when zombie movies are too smart for me.

I wonder if Grifter will make an appearance in the movie like he did in the comics. Could this open the door to other possible Wildstorm properties like Wild C.A.T.S., Stormwatch, Gen 13, Team 7 or Wetworks. That would be a dream come true.

yes a spawn remake would kick ass but still dont put a damper on such movies like TDK, iron man, hulk etc which were pleasing to the fans. the star was touted as tom cruise but if leo is in..i dunno for sure...well whoever makes this should stick to the original and not change anything...after all not many out there know about sleeper so why change a good thing?
