October 14, 2008
Midway Games Inc. is expecting "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe" to be on store shelves and available for purchase throughout North America on November 16th, 2008, and Europe on November 21st, 2008. On those dates, gamers will be able to purchase the highly-anticipated pairing of some of the iconic characters from the DC Universe, like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Joker, battling against video game icons Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya and more.
Last week Midway released the final box art along with details of the North American Kollector's Edition (see below), which will come in special packaging and feature an exclusive removable print designed by Alex Ross, one of the world's most pre-eminent and respected comic book artists, as well as bonus video content. In addition, John Tobias, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, returns to sketch a 16-page comic book to be published by DC Comics that chronicles the shocking, universe-shattering events that lead up to the in-game story mode.

"Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe" is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Ball game! I cannot wait for this to come out. I've been keeping up with this for the past couple months on gamespot and reading all the reviews and checking out the screen shots. Looks pretty promising...except the Fatalities won't be as brutal as previous MKs. Oh well, I guess DC doesn't want their heros to be disembowed.
Now none of you douche bags can call first. In your faces.

I'd prefer to just buy the boxart to put on my wall, if that's cool.

They have the reviews for this at gamespot.com.
Just search for Mortal Kombat vs DC and they already have hands on reviews. Word is the gameplay isn't stagnant and keeps the player (or players) in the fight and is tons of fun...even though Superman is over powered.

I hear Lex Luthor is a playable character, sounds interesting. The Joker should have fatalities though. Either way its still worth having.

Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe is unlike anything Midway has done since, Marvel and Capcom crossed over to make XMEN VS. Street Fighter, Marvel Superheros VS. Street Fighter and the Marvel VS. Capcom series. They, should make a cinemation video like, MK VS. DC Universe and call it Street Fighter VS. Marvel Universe I do see something like that happening. Capcom will own the full designing rights to that game and Marvel already owns licensing rights to the Marvel characters. They, will have an agreed signed contract with Capcom to make this game. I think Midway made a great partnership deal with DC Comics to make this game and this will definitely open the doors for sequels possibly and other DC and Midway game projects in the near future.

Am I the only one that watches the gameplay and thinks....this looks really shi**y? How can you possibly want to buy this rubbish? I played a hands on at my school a little while back, UCF, and it was one of the worst fighting games I have played in a while, and Ive played Soul Calibur 4

I wish they would have included Reptile. He's the best. Also Rorshanch's and Hush. That would have been AWESOME!! Hopefully a sequel in a couple years with more characters.
