Five Kick-Ass Set Videos Online

Five videos from the shooting of the Matthew Vaughn-directed Kick-Ass in Toronto have turned up online. The clips feature Aaron Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse sitting in a car dressed as superheroes. You can hear Vaughn's voice throughout the videos (the one with the British accent). The last video features a helicopter with a camera taking shots for the film.

Written by Mark Millar and drawn by John Romita Jr., the Marvel Comics' Icon imprint book centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.

Nicolas Cage, Lyndsy Fonseca, Mark Strong and Chloe Moretz co-star.

Was....that supposed to be cool or something? Did I miss it? What was the point of those clips? They didn't entertain me in the least. The didn't get me any kind of hyped to see the flick. I don't get it...

As a film student, this was very interesting to see. The concept of filming in a busy location like Picadilly circle is mindblowing and intimidating...

can't wait to see the final product, both in comics and film (Hurry up Millar! Romita Jr is waiting!)

That was him in the passenger set.

I've never read the book, but the concept sounds very appealing.
An interesting premise worth checking out.

Holy @#^@%#% shizzle that is awsome. The kick-ass costume looks like it was made exact to the comic to a T from what I could see...his head and a glove...but still, this movie is going to live to its name sake I really hope so anyway.

Neato. Finish the DAMN COMIC BOOK THE MOVIE IS BASED ON, WHY DON'T YOU?!!

Posted by: Shmatt on October 6, 2008 at 18:51:30

Millar has already finished the comic book. They only release one issue a month is all.

that looks so cool !

Why are they releasing footage of red mist(mclovin) and his ride before they even introduce him that's like spoiling, the fact that Big daddy(Nick "cage" Coppola) is a Cop. I love what they did with Kick ass's outfit
