Downey Jr. and Fey Voicing MasterMind?
Source:Entertainment Weekly
August 27, 2008

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Tina Fey ("30 Rock") are in negotiations to voice characters in DreamWorks Animation's MasterMind, scheduled for a November 5, 2010 release.

Produced by Ben Stiller's production company, Red Hour Films, the film is a satirical send-up of the superhero genre, built around the story of a super villain who must find a new motivation after accidentally killing his archrival, Uberman, in the opening scene of the movie.

MasterMind is based on a script from Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons and will be directed by Gary Trousdale.

man, downey jr. is whoring himself out like crazy right now! gotta make all the $money$ fast before he goes back to rehab!

LOL @ speedracer216

That was a pretty good one.

Anyway, I hope this is good, and isn't geared toward a kid friendly audience. Could be a decent animated flick...

Clearly, Robert Downey Jr. is mounting a full fledged comback.Like Tony Starks Downey Jr. battled his demons(the method acting acting jokes about him playing Iron Man are legion)
And for his sake I hope that he has defeated all of those inner demons because things are begining to look up for him it`s a new chapter in his life.

But from what I`ve heard about Downey Jr. saying the Dark Knight is too smart for him seems like poor sportsmanship to me.The Dark Knight is a highly intelligence-driven movie,it doesn`t need to dumb itself down to be entertaining and high quality.

Those cracks about The Dark Knight being high brow and needing a college education to understand it should be beneath a man who has gone through the ringer and lived to tell the tale. He should be better than that.

jrobert, if you know downey jr and his humor, he was clearly being sarcastic and joking. have you seen him in interviews? by just reading what he said it's so easy to tell. he has a unique sense of humor. read it carefully again. this is clearly not a dc vs. marvel thing that many people are wanting it to be. both iron man and TDK kicked ass. we don't need a biased battle or marvel vs. dc. both were great films in their own ways.

What Downey said about TDK is obviously ignorant and thats too bad because I'm sure Nolan and Bale said they liked the film. Although Bale would kick his ass in real life.

Good to see Downey getting so much work these days.
-speedracer216, give me a break. If you were getting so many role offers, you'd take them too. He's a good actor. ****, if I was that talented, I'd be "whoring" myself out too.

Sounds like fun.

Downey likes to shoot his mouth off for better or worse. It's part of the reason why he plays Tony Stark so well. He's probably just bitter because the spotlight was stolen from him by TDK. Whatever he says is his problem. I'm not out to be friends with him, so I won't like him any less as an actor.

Nice, hahaha, 30 Rock kills me and RDJ is the man. Just got done watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Oh and I see speedracer is still talking trash and hating on RDJ for Ironman kicking his little cgi crap fest movie in the nether regions.

RDJ makes JOKES in interviews! Stop obsessing! TDK is my 2nd favorite movie of all time, I however, don't cry when someone makes a joke about Bale's voice or criticize the movie as a whole. Stop being so defensive FAN BOYS!

isnt the name mastermind trademarked by marvel?

Posted by: Hell N' Spiders on August 27, 2008 at 21:26:47

This seems to be on par with Vernture Brothers.

Sounds funny.

Posted by: NoSympathy on August 27, 2008 at 22:24:59

Considering that Iron Man was awesome and fun, and TDK had batman shooting explosive jelly bazookas and the joker was a suicidal (woops i meant homicidal) maniac bent on nothing more than burning things or blowing things up. Maybe his coments were in jest. I mean honestly... anyone could have enjoyed Iron Man, how a batman fan could have liked TDk is beyond me. Bazookas for the worlds greatest detective? Really?

RIH Heath

Rest in Hell

And Batman assaulted his mother and sister. There you go fanboys

No Sympathy is a gigantic *******,that was one scene let it go.
RDJ did blow and Heath had sex with your mom beforeshe died.....and didnt pay.

Posted by: speedracer216 on August 27, 2008 at 22:30:27

@ Brand-O...
heck yeah i would! lol. it's a good career move - course, i'm not a fan of his at all (he just bugs me - and i don't think he's the great talent everyone else apparently does)

but to each his own and any smart man will tell you - work while you can cuz there's no guarantees!

i've already OD'd on the guy, didn't even want him as IM, but if people want to pay him, it doesn't hurt me any.

Posted by: TA on August 27, 2008 at 22:45:20

RDJ was joking in that interview, he knows how hot TDK was and was just playing it cool. Why do all the batman fanbois have to so uptight about everything?

Posted by: batmeringue on August 27, 2008 at 23:37:42

This sound alright. I'd take my brother to see it.
One thing I will say here and I'm sorry it is on a page for a completely different topic but the dark knight page has gone on to like 14 pages.
Sadly we must all take into account that Nolan has just spent a ridiculous amount of time editing his dead colleague/friend. Give him time to recuperate. Also I doubt he will return.

DOWNEY IS GOD

@ No Sympathy

When you finally hit puberty, feel the touch of a women and give birth to some inbred chinless welp with rickets (if your clamidia stained semen allows) I hope you and your sister never feel the loss of the child that Heaths parents have. Or even the two year old daughter he left behind.
You sad child

UM I LOVE ROBERT DOWNEY JR!!!

HE IS AWESOME!!!

Posted by: jrobert on August 28, 2008 at 02:00:29

That post by No Sympathy about Heath resting in Hell and The Dark Knight not being a movie that the fans would like emphasizes a point I made not too long ago on Superhero Hype about idiocy being a planetary epidemic.

But we just have to ignore No Sympathy. To paraphrase a old saying there`s no point in arguing with fools. If we do No Sympathy will drag us down to his level and beat us with experience.

Posted by: Arbies commercials suck on August 28, 2008 at 02:09:58

his experience in acting like a complete douchbag.

Posted by: oc3lot on August 28, 2008 at 05:21:28

i cant even imagine all the coke downey jr. will be able to buy.

NoSympathy

In case you don;t have a tendency to read and follow up on news stories, Bale was not found guilty of anything, and was let off the hook. The man was defending his wife when the supposed "incident" happened.
