Beach Says Turok Movie in the Works
Source:MTV
June 11, 2008
MTV talked to Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers), who says a movie based on the comic book character and video game franchise "Turok" is in the works:
"We just finished the animated movie and now we're going into the feature film movie [which should lens] hopefully in a couple years. We're about to set up meetings to develop a script and put it out there," Beach enthused. "I'll have to beef up, and be a good guy, and save the world!"
You can read more of Beach's quotes here.

I feel optimistic, but seriously i don't think they will make a good movie adaptation.

I dont think this will get done, period.
Kinda like the Iron Fist movie, it will just never happen.

I don't know this could break the curse. Turok is a great movie concept but it shouldn't be done exactly like the game, very similer, but with more new concepts and a scripts with alot of depth. But thats just my opinion as someone who has no experience in making movies what so ever. Would LIKE to but

THis will happen as soon as the Sequel Trilogy. And if it does, it will be as good as Howard the duck. Nuff said.

Incredible Hulk is hanging onto its life trying to stay fresh on Rottentomatoes. 5 more percent down and it's Rotten.

jordan-"please tell me they're joking"
restrain from saying that dudes cuz you just sound like a douche who thinks he looks smart by already implying this is gonna suck, besides 120 000 ppl say that exact same comment for every movie, its getting laaaaame.
Anywayyyy...um yeah turok...w00t? I mean it could be totally RADUNK! like killer savages, mutants, even aliens, and most definently Dinos! and lots of gore! just like the comics and games....hopefully.

and Jimmy dont be a vagine, we're talkin Turok here kay? and ppl Rotten Tomatoes is a legit source for professional reviews so don't just bash it or be like "you suck cuz you dissed Hulk by saying professional critics dont really like it, so your a moron and I'm smart!" kinda come-back line its laaame, plus it could still go up lame-wads.....and dont play the "opinions" card on me kay? so far on a professional level of film-making Hulk isn't measuring up too great, doesn't mean you still can't enjoy it ight? maybe its just as good as the comics but as an actual film (like I said) so far its just okay.

dumbass....how can you claim 1st when you were 3rd. And what is the big deal anyway with being 1st to a charactier that sucks ass anyway. By the way.....who is Turok? I have never heard of him.
Posted by: questions on June 11, 2008 at 08:03:34
Munchkin Supreme, how can you claim a character sucks then ask who he is? That makes no sense at all.
When was Turok a comic book. I know all about the video games, but I never heard of a comic about it. This could be good, I'm reserving judgement until I see pre-production stuff.

I want the Primigen and Campaigner in this movie right meow!!
Posted by: Munchkin Supreme on June 11, 2008 at 08:48:23
Well.....I know he was called the dinosaur hunter...that is about as much as I know about him. Sounds like a suck ass character to me.
Let's see...human...killing dinosaurs....Hmmm...my bet is I will be rooting for the dinosaurs.
Long live Devil Dinosaur!!!

Ah...you youngsters.
Turok was a comic looong before any of you were even thought of. It was a mainstay of the old Dell/Gold Key comic company. In fact, I was a little kid when it was on the old spinner racks at the local grocery store.

Firelord....I have to laugh at the youngster comment....I am 41 and remember the spinner racks well. Kinda good to have an old fart like myself that reads these pages. I thought I was an oddity,
I remember ROM Spaceknight, Devil Dinosaur the 1st Star Wars comic w/upc label 35 cents and a lot of stuff that just isnt made anymore. I really don't remember Turok. May have been a good comic...and may be a good movie...who knows, but I just don't remember the comic.
ROM now would be a kick ass movie. Punish the Dire Wraiths back into the Neutral Zone!!!

@Munchkin Supreme
Turok, if memory serves me correctly, the Dinosaur Hunter was last seen in the world of Valiant. He, well, was a Dino hunter. I have some of the Valiant comics and use to own the game. The comic was different in comparison to other titles and the video game had horrible game play. That's all I remember.
Posted by: Sphincter...I barely know her on June 11, 2008 at 10:09:13
Well...I am no Turok Fan ...but unlike alot of the buttcracks here I know who he is...and Munchkin supreme I would not go bragging that I am a 41 year old with nothing better to do than flam superhero logs....but I digress. I know Turok more from the games than the books..and know that the Tobias Buckner award is handed out ever year to the suckiest game for its "crapulance" by Electronic Gaming...that does not speak well on a character ..so I have low expectations for this one..on the other hand Vampiro might have a point..the sure spectacle of the idea put to film may rock!

I'm all for well produced comic/hero movies, but this sounds quite lame.
Posted by: Benovite on June 11, 2008 at 12:01:32
How incredibly unexciting!
Why don't they make a Duke Nuke'em movie too while they're stuck in the 90's.
Posted by: Metal Mike on June 11, 2008 at 13:44:42
I remember playing the game a bit....it was a fun game at times...we'll just have to see how the movie will look and who is in the cast, etc.

okay lets see crazy native, no,dinosouars,no,if iremember right werent there crazy guys with guns trying to kill him. all together it will bomb the box office then no one will want to touch a reboot or sequel final word ANYBODY?
Posted by: evilismygame on June 11, 2008 at 15:43:11
Well I hope its better then Silent Hill or Alone in the Dark. I don't know if I like Adam Beach playing Turok, I can't see him without thinking of Joe dirt. But hey what the Hell do I know.
Posted by: Zak on June 11, 2008 at 15:44:58
Adamantium's wrong. The first video game was based on the Valiant comics. That's why some of the dinosaurs were cyborgs and the Campaigner (from issues 4-8 of the Valiant series) was the first boss.
