Maybe they are going to turn the Asians into robots. Maybe there will be a Honda-bot and he will be a robot ninja - how about that?

Right. In all seriousness, maybe we will get a hot Asian female counterpart to Meg Fox. w00t!

I was thinking about trying out but I'm not Oriental Asian (although technically I'm from Asia). I suppose there's no harm in sending them an email. The worst that will happen is they reject me.

There are no "real" people in Michael Bay's movies, only characatures.

Wyngarde, you do realize that whether they make them a focus or not, there actually have to people in this movie right? Even as extras? I thought you were smarter than to make a complaint like that bro.

Should totally go for it. Korean guy pretending to be chinese. lol.

Dammit! I fit the bill perfectly, but I live in Burbank, CA... where movies are NORMALLY made. :-/

MICHAEL BAY PUT SOME MORE R-O-B-O-T-S IN THE MOVIE!!!!!!

Posted by: Carlos A. on May 15, 2008 at 14:47:29

Idiots..... like they're gonna 'cast' any robots.... HAHAHA...... Just in case you don't know, castings are for ACTORS.... robots are added after!!!!!.... movies are made that way!!!!

Posted by: Hellboy on May 15, 2008 at 15:02:56

BRILLIANT!! what better place to film a Chinese city than Bethlehem, PA. LMAO!!!!

Posted by: Rick S. on May 15, 2008 at 15:16:56

Will the moron who keeps *****ing about a lot of humans being in the movie just shut the hell up? (You know who you are.)

Quit raping the dead horse after you've beaten it enough times.

Posted by: richard on May 15, 2008 at 15:28:19

or maybe there is going to be an attack on a chinese city in the film ****heads.

Posted by: Digital Jedi on May 15, 2008 at 15:52:12

Did somebody actually say "holy moley"? I didn't know Shazam frequented this site.

Anyway, I'm hoping the people who are complaining about the extras are just being silly. Odds are the movie will make less sense, if on earth, and there are no people in any major cities. Does that really need to be explained?

@ Carlos A.
Wait wait wait, robots are added after? But they interact with humans in the movies. You mean they're not really tranforming vehicles? You mean they are 'pretend'? My whole world has just been shattered.

Heard from a guy who cuts grass that Nisky Hill cemetary was contacted to shot a seen there on 4th Street in Bethlehem

here we go again! Transformers was awesome, tons of fun and it didn't take itself too seriously. It looked amazing and did fantastic at the box office. Nobody has any reason to doubt michael bay at all. he's going to hit another grand slam. As for all you nerds who only want to see robots chasing each other around for two hours with no human interaction: go home and drool over your 80's transformers cartoons. nerds!

Yeah, gas is going up because dumb fanboys want movie studios to kiss their asses and spend 500 million dollars on making a 120 minute movie where there's nothing but robots transforming over and over again. C'mon, that gets boring!

We need the real, today, modern-life human element brought into these movies as much as possible. Not only because there's no other way to do it, but because it makes a better live action FILM. If this were an animated film, then this would be a debatable issue, but there has to be some give here. It's just not practical and smart to make a 120 minute movie where all we're doing is watching a bunch of robot aliens fight each other all the time.

Posted by: g_rob2 on May 15, 2008 at 17:36:13

They are obviously not an equal opprotunity employer......what ever happened to affirmitave action?!?!?!?!LOL

Posted by: g_rob2 on May 15, 2008 at 17:38:57

any one know if they will do any more filming in detroit? they shot the last fight scene there for the first film. i live in Toledo and made the short trip up but did not see much.

Posted by: Shawn Bennett on May 15, 2008 at 17:48:26

"Because we need more people in this movie and less robots."

You are all a bunch of winers! Did it ever occur to you that the robots need Asians to kill? What's a movie about killer robots without people to kill? Shut the flood up already!

Loved the film last year and can't wait for the next one. Lotta' fun.

Seems interesting with the casting call for asian actors. Makes me wonder about the movie all the more. Have to tell this guy I know about it. He'd actually make the trek to PA and try and get in on this. He's a pretty funny guy. When I first met him at the comic shop, he insisted that I call him "Mookey"...

...EVEN THOUGH HIS REAL NAME IS GEOFF!!!

I'm being optimistic on this flick. I just hope that it doesn't disolve into the next Speed Racer or anything.

Now I have to unleash my inner horn-dog and say that what I'm looking forward to the most is:

MEGAN THE FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

---Later!
