To those of you saying BB didn't have enough action, well thats the point. Nolan is making a series thats based on the CHARACTERS rather than the action. If you want a cgi fest go watch Transformers! The new Batman series is for people who enjoy the dark versions of batman and quality films.

hey ray, i don't think falcone's in this one. they just used him in batman begins. i thought he was a cool character myself, despite him being a stereotypical wop.

Sweet, new bat gadgets, and Joker is going to be awsome. Can't wait for this movie.

Everyone comparing iron man to batman. Bottom line is Iron Man has nowhere near as much depth at Batman Begins and TDK. There is so much more character development that Christopher Nolan has done compared to iron Man.

Iron Man just doesn't provoke much intelligent thought the way Batman does.

I dont know but likely Batman wont be able to beat the box office big nos. of Iron Man. I like the 1st trailer of TDK than this predictable one. Maggie will be the JarJarBinks of Star Wars. I despise her that Im crossing my fingers that Joker murders her early on the movie.

Posted by: Rick S. on May 13, 2008 at 00:45:05

Unless Maggie says something to the likes of "Yousa tinken yousa people gonna die?" to Harvey Dent, I think using Jar Jar Binks as an ****ogy is wrong.

lol, did they take out a-n-a-l from ****ogy??

u r sick, I understand that you liked iron man and want to go see a good "pop corn" "eye candy" flick every time you step in a cinema. But some movies actually like to have some substance in them.

I enjoyed iron man. But I'm a big movie buff who doesn't HAVE to have a ton of explosions and cg to make me happy. I prefer a well ironed out, "no pun intended", script with centricity between characters from one act to the next. Iron Man with all its flash, lacked even the very basics of screenwriting.

If you ever write a script, cohesion is a must. Anybody with a remote understanding would notice that iron man was written by 6 different people writing 6 different scripts. In which marvel picked and chose the most explosions from each and mashed the scripts. Making it one of the most appalling character driven movies I have seen. Scenes between characters in the early goings have absolutely no bearing in the later parts.

Thats my 2 cents. If Chris and Jon Nolan's writing and prestige are any indication, this is going to be a truly amazing cinematic affair.

every single thing ive seen so far from dark knight just keeps me so hyped up for this film, ive never been looking forward to a movie release anywhere near this much before.

this whole marvel/dc ironman/batman thing on these boards takes the piss, im not a comic book reader, or a superhero fanboy at all, but i guess ppl always have to do this crap, ppl always have to argue over ****, just the way it is.

I thought iron man was pretty good, but just good, im looking forward to indy and hulk, and im fairly sure both will be better than iron man and keep me goin for dark knight, but rlly tho if iron man makes more cash than dark knight, thats hardly incredible, iron man is more commercial, not a problem for parents to take kids to see etc. batman begins was(as it was intended) a pretty gritty, dark realism based movie, and dark knight can only be darker, if it does make more cash than iron man, then it only speaks volumes for how absolutely incredible nolans reinvention of the franchise is.

and lastly, true nolan isnt the greatest action director, but if anything more action/cgi wld only hurt and take away from the movies realism which is the Key to why they are so damn good, so stop whining and go watch all the other superhero movies if u wanna see lots of action and cgi, nolan's batman is different, thats what sets it apart from the rest.

Christopher Nolan and the word "predictable" doesn't belong in one sentence!

Too true Millz

I like batman

Posted by: nw8 on May 13, 2008 at 12:46:44

joker, scarecrow, two-face and rachel dies what more can you want in a batman movie

Posted by: u r sick on May 13, 2008 at 13:39:29

yes wolf story isnt enough when the movie is suppose to be a action/superhero comic book movie. I mean you fanboys are insane BB was great cause of the story it didnt need much action you say. but you all hate superman returns so much and that was all story give me a break. you all know you didnt like BB that much but your fanboyness cant bring you to say it well i will it sucked there now you try feels good dont it. And like wolf said in all of these trailers you have yet to see batman throw a punch. He does hit people in the comic book doesnt he and you can see it without the cam shaking. The greatest comic book movie ever HA HA good joke more like the most lame. Oh and so you dont think im a fanboy like you i actually enjoy batman comics and the first two movies.

Posted by: u r sick on May 13, 2008 at 13:48:47

P.S The only real hype this movies has is the death of heath ledger without that no one would cares. Just like no one cared about batman begins remember its opening didnt make noise in the box office not even close to ironman just saying if boy boy didnt die no one would care. Maybe he did it on purpose cause he know the movie sucked and he was no jack nicholson so he killed him self to make it seem he really got into character. No im sorry that was a tasteless joke.

Posted by: Johnny on May 13, 2008 at 13:59:42

Of course Batman Begins didn't make much noise in the box office. Many people were scared of the thought of Batman on the screen after that creature that was Batman and Robin.

The camera that is used during most of the fight scenes in BB is a hand held and it's used for good reason. Its intention is to make you feel like one of the people getting beat down. Nolan does not want you to see Batman in his entirety while fighting.

Watch any documentary about the making of the film and you'll see that Bale went through more intensive training in various martial arts and physical strain than any actor has for a role.

Nolan got Batman right. From the interior to the fighting. If Batman wants to fight a group of ten men. He's not going to waste time and energy doing flips and kicks. If a guy is close enough he'll throw an elbow or headbutt. The style of fighting is known as keysi. And it is not very easy to learn, let alone master. The user has to be very tight and use all limbs when needed for defense and offense.

As the fighting style is very tight and constrained, so is the camera work. Some people need to learn that a couple large cameras on tracks shot and different angles then edited blandly is not the only way to film a movie.

I understand that when a script has no character you have to add as many explosions and costly effects as possible to distract people from the story's mediocrity. However it is the truly great movies that can carry themselves without such cop outs.

Yea your joke was very tasteless. So if you took the time to retract within your comment, how about not posting it next time?

Posted by: lamberto on May 13, 2008 at 14:22:48

haha. it's hilarious (and sad) how so many people deem a movie to be better simply because its trailer shows a lot of explosions and fights. how lame is that?? probably the same people who enjoyed 10,000 b.c... hahahahahaahah

Posted by: Millz on May 13, 2008 at 14:25:14

well said johnny.

u r sick, i dont read comic books and im not a batman fanboy, but batman begins is one of my all time fav movies, and dark knight looks like its easily beating it.

and what is all this action **** about??? there is action/punching etc in BB, u must have a ****ing selective memory, nolan cut the fight scenes(apart from the end battle mainly) very quick, and we seen it from the villians view, he did this to make batman appear more quick, terrifying, sort of superhumanish.

Coming back to this "become more than just one man in the eyes of your enemies"

Posted by: Millz on May 13, 2008 at 14:29:06

and johnny is totally right, the first time i seen batman begins was on tv at a friends months after it had came out, after batman and robin when i heard about BB i just thought, another batman movie, wont be seeing that, so i for one prove the point of johnny, batman begins suffered because of its predecessor
