Iron Man 2 in 2010?
Source:Entertainment Tonight
May 1, 2008

Entertainment Tonight attended the Iron Man premiere and got a chance to speak to Viacom and CBS Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey who said that if the movie does as well as expected, the studio will be looking to release the sequel in 2010.

What's interesting is that The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has already "claimed" the first weekend of the summer that year (May 7, 2010), but if you look at the calendar, Iron Man 2 could easily open on April 30, which is a Friday, essentially giving it almost a similar release date as the first film.

Oh! And while press screenings did not have a certain scene after the credits, when Iron Man is released in theaters tonight, it IS expected to have it... so, be sure to stay after the credits!

Posted by: Ghostradio on May 1, 2008 at 12:17:06

does it have to do with a certain one-eyed soldier?

Posted by: BRAND X on May 1, 2008 at 12:17:40

WOW they are already fighting for 2010 release dates, they don't waste time do they?

I got burned one time at my local theater, they shut down the reels and turned on the lights near the end of the credits, and I'm looking back at the projection room like "what the hell?"

Let's hope this movie rocks and not be a disappointment like spiderman 3. Let's see if the hype is for nothing.

Kyle, you're wrong, it's the Nick Fury scene. It's been confirmed at NYCC that the Hulk scene will be in Hulk. I am so jazzed for the Fury scene. "Avengers Initiative!" 9 o'clock!! can't wait!

Posted by: Matt Ferrari on May 1, 2008 at 12:39:24

I've seen it ! (in France the movies are released on wednesday...)

SPOILER !!! DON'T READ !!!!

And it's not te cross-over scene with Ed Norton but it is, (as you can all expect it) a one-eyed black badass who says words like "part of a Universe", "Avengers", "Initiative"...

BEST POST-CREDIT SCENE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was not dissapointed, ahh i didnt stay till the end but wiki does say!, sets up the summer well with the other upcoming films :D

Here is RDJ response:

SHH!: Can you talk about your cameo in "The Incredible Hulk"?
Downey: Yeah, I'm so f**king pissed off. I went and did a scene for two hours, which they're going to run during the end credits in "Hulk" and everyone's like, "So, you're role in 'Hulk'…" I did it as a favor to these guys at Marvel. They're really cool but I have to talk about it every f**king day, but they're smart because they get that you're saying "Hulk" when we're talking about "Iron Man." They know what they're doing.

I don't want to sound retarded, but can someone send me a wiki link for this one eyed black badass? please. I don't know Iron Man all that much

Posted by: Gallifrey on May 1, 2008 at 12:56:31

Just saw Iron Man....
I have to say the choice of Jon Favreau was INSPIRED!! This movie truly was awesome!!! It hit all the right notes....quite possibly THE best comic book adaptation I've seen for a LOONG time!!! And yes!!! They're right
Do NOT!!!! Repeat NOT! leave after the credits. believe me, it's worth waiting for!!! I have to say if anyone has any doubts about this movie, then lose 'em!!! 100 per cent class!!!!!

Posted by: SuperDude on May 1, 2008 at 12:57:10

What the hell kind of cinema do you go to where they turn off the projector after the movie ends. I have never heard of that in my life.
