Jonah Hill in Talks for Transformers 2

Jonah Hill is in early negotiations to co-star opposite Shia LaBeouf in Transformers 2 for DreamWorks and Paramount, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Hill (Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) will provide the comic relief as a sidekick to Shia's Sam Witwicky.

The sequel, set to begin shooting this summer, is scheduled for a release on June 26, 2009.

Awful, simply awful. Please don't do this to a movie that doesn't need it. This is like Richard Pryor in Superman 3, or That idea of having Eddie Murphy in Star Trek IV. Please don't do this. Give us Galvatron, an Quintessons, not... ... Not a "Comic relief sidekick"! This is sickening!

What does it matter. The movie is going to be balls. Transformers was a movie to make everyone in the theatre stupid. It's one of those movies that takes society down a notch so we'll all just zombie walk through life, hopelessly innane, buying beyond our means. So read something. Please. Something that'll make you see these movies for what they are.

I have no faith the director or the casting director. The only people I have faith in after seeing the first movie is ILM (although the robot designs are still ****)

Eh, whatever. As long as Megan Fox is still in it to give me a boner, then I'll watch Jonah Hill to give me a chuckle. I took one thing from the first film, and that is that a movie this big will always be pack a Hollywood punch of too many needless characters. People that complain about Transformers are idiots, not because the movie was a landmark piece of American filmmaking, but because they were dumb enough to walk into the theatre with high expectations. I walked into the theatre to see robots fight, and I saw robots fight. Everything else was fluff.

If Shia's character can play off of Hill's, this may actually work. Shia was surprisingly funny, goofy, and believable.

Never found him to be funny in anything he's done...EVER.
Although I'm positive I'll see the movie..the mere presence of that dip****e with lessen my enjoyment of it.
He's more annoying than funny.

Please don't have this ass hole in the film I hate this guy so much, iloved the 1st film this 2nd is shaping up to be good in MY eyes but this guy is just a ****ing waste, do we really need a fat ass running around trying to keep up with Shia? Bring back Anthony Anderson, not this douche.

I have to agree with Darcsyde on every point he made. This guy isn't funny. He is incredibly annoying! I thought Sam was the comic relief in the first movie, or that hacker guy who's now on Law & Order. The movie will lose so much if this guy is in it, and gain nothing. Michael Bay, if you're reading this, for the love of all that is holy and Transformerish do NOT put this dip$h!t in the movie!!

you people need to relax and chill for a minute. The first movie was awesome, set the table up nicely for whats coming this time around. He's already said there will be twice as many robots this go around. I know Bay is releasing false information to throw people off, but i think i found the script for the next one, and after reading it, omg. This next movie will blow the first one out of the water. You people just wait and see. Even if what i have is just a dummy version, it should be made into a movie, the script is that good. Only time will tell
