Transformers 2 Starts June 2?

No cast has been announced yet (although we know Shia LaBeouf is in), but according to TFW2005.com filming for Transformers 2 begins on June 2nd (we assume in Philadelphia).

Paramount is currently eyeing a June 26, 2009 release date for the sequel.

If I recall correctly most of the "false rumors" about Transformers 1 ended up being true. Those things like that concept art wasn't really Megatron. That European animation test of OP talking which wasn't connected to the film yet still managed to make it in the movie. Or that Megatron being held in the Hoover Dam was just something from an early script.

I wouldn't doubt if Bay isn't just saying they're false because he either doesn't know how to really spread false rumors or hide true information.

No, He is not giving any info about who or what the film is going to be about. I dont think he is going to hide the filming start date. I like this anyway. At least he wants people to be suprised when they see the film. I remeber when X3 came out, If you went on the site you could watch a bunch of clips and by the time the movie came out you already knew the entire film.

I would have to agree with ARTaylor. I think he's saying that all the information are fakes just to throw people off and keep them guessing. but in a sense it's true. For me, I'll wait to see the movie and see which is true and which is false.

I think Megan Fox is in this 2nd movie.

ARTaylor, for the first movie he didn't try to spread false news. There was an article on this site a month or so back where he explicitly stated in an interview that he'd be trying to spread false information. Since no effort was made to do so for the first film, I don't think a comparison should be made.

Michael Bay's point was that information for the first movie was leaked before it's time and so he wanted to spread false information this time around so that people wouldn't know what to believe and what not to. Casting rumors and such don't really fall into that category, he meant about which characters would be in part two and so on. Like the rumour about the Constructicons (sp?) being brought in along with the real Devastator might be false...but then again it might not... ; )
