Hugh Jackman talked to The Herald Sun a bit about X-Men Origins: Wolverine:

Jackman is deep into shooting an X-Men spinoff and new Seed project Wolverine in Sydney with co-stars Liev Schreiber and Ryan Reynolds.

"I'm used to these movies now," he says. "They're big and there's a lot involved, a lot at stake, so it's always high pressure. But Gavin Hood, our director, is a real force. He's an Oscar-winning director (for Tsotsi) and he's used to working under different kinds of pressure and stresses."

Jackman hand-picked Melbourne youngster Kodi Smit-McPhee (Romulus, My Father) to play Wolverine as a young man.

"He's one of those kids who's fearless," Jackman says. "I hope he doesn't read this article because yes, there is pressure on him because of who he's playing and the expectations of fans. I was lucky to be completely ignorant of fans' expectations and the whole world before X-Men came out. I just hope he doesn't read too much or go on the internet because he naturally has the goods I know the fans will love."

"Wolverine" hits theaters on May 1, 2009.

I have guarded hopes that Wolverine will good. If nothing else, we get Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. And then hopefully a Deadpool solo movie. PLEASE!

I hope that they give Ryan Reynolds some decent lines, and some decent screen time. Next to Wolvie, Deadpool's my fave character as he's just so nuts!!Maybe then the Deadpool film will FINALLY get off the ground...Are you listening movie studios??

well i guess im way out of touch with this movie. I didnt even know ryan reynolds was in the movie let alone playing deadpool. The last thing i read on this movie was them having a mutant named "beak" in it and i that was enough for me. But i guess if deadpool is in it, and a well played sabertooth this may be interesting. Is theres still rumors of gambit in this or has that been squashed?

On a serious note though, my point from the very outset (this is directed at everyone else because speaking rationally to Kill all obviously doesn't make any sense since he's an idiot) was that if people want to go ahead and say it, then just let them, it's not really affecting your lives at the end of the day, it is definitely a little juvenile, but hell who cares..? It's not that big a deal. If they want to do it, it's not your right to tell them that they can't...just ignore it.

We're all here to make our own comments about these movies and express ourselves anyway we want to as long as it's not in a derogatory or racist manner. Let them be them and you be you, end of story, it's an easy enough thing to ignore and the only way it will get to you at the end of the day is if you let it...like certain people who I have given more than enough attention to at this point.
