kind of a blatant ripoff of Superman, but I still would like to see it.

Who ever thought of this concept is a ******* genius. It does not look silly, it has a good message about redeeming one's self! There needs to be more movies like this made. Will Smith is money.

That's brilliant. It's definitely not a rip off of any superhero, but is clearly the direction movies like Supes Returns and Spidey 3 should have gone in... esp. spidey 3. I'll be right in line for this one.

It looks like crap.

this will suck, spendin money on a good actor all the stuff making some bull**** movie, do something good, if you have will smith and peter berg why not doing a black panther or luke cage movie instead of thus supercrap

Always @ least 1 HATER in the bunch, huh?

I like how if it doesn't have beginnings in a comic it will suck. That's just dumb logic. The movie looks good. A good superhero's a good superhero and a good movie's a good movie. What medium the character originate from should not matter. This is one of the most original concepts that I have seen in a while and it looks great. I can't wait for this one instead of another superhero origin movie.

anyone who thinks "Hanckock" is original, thisnk again! Anyon besides me remeber an animated feature my the name of "The Incrdibles"????
it's basically the same story, but in live action and with Will Smith....
Posted by: Mike on April 24, 2008 at 02:52:26
I'll see it.

jordon
this is no where near close to "The Incredibles"
The Incredibles were a family of superheroes that were retired but were forced to return to the crime fighting scene.
Hancock is just one guy who has superpowers but everytime he tries to be a hero he ends up screwing up.
big difference there man.

I dunno what your problem is Jordan. So just cause incredibles came out now noone is aloud to make a movie where the super hero has a lot of character flaws set in a comedic settings? I had no idea Pixar had a copyright on such a concept!
It is amazing the things you learn. Look I understand if a comedy that pretty much mocks super heroes is not your cup of tea. But when I watch a movie I am looking for a good time. This film looks like it is primed to achieve that. Not everything has to be attempt to win oscars.
Not like any super hero film ever will. It was a STRETCH for Return of the King to win best film and director! And that is a FANTASY!

How the hell is this anything like the Incredibles? Same story? Superheroes banned & a family of them teaming up to save the day from a megalomaniac deranged fan? Have you even seen the Incredibles? What a weird comment.

This movie definitely looks good. "How bout you thickness?" ahahahaha Is there anything the fresh prince can't do?!?!?!

Finally, a breath of fresh air to the 7 year assault of mediocre, badly interpreted, formulaic superhero movies. Bring it on.
