The Dark Knight Trailer Premieres
Source:Superhero Hype!
April 20, 2008
Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight at the New York Comic-Con on Saturday. The trailer is expected to hit theaters in a couple of weeks, presumably with Iron Man, but the viral campaign might allows fans to see it earlier than that online. Stay tuned!
Speaking of, the viral marketing continued over the weekend with fans receiving a call from the Gotham Voters Survey. Here is 'Revenant':
Last night I received a phone call from the Gotham Voters Survey. Taking an opinion poll regarding Harvey Dent's campaign for District Attorney. An automated service asked initially how warm my feelings were towards Harvey Dent, 0 being not warm at all and 9 being very warm. Then I was asked how important several factors are to my feelings towards him, such as if I learned he had the lowest prosecution rate of all Gotham's assistant DAs, or if he had been treated from a psychiatric disorder, or if I learned he had a personal relationship with someone tied to organised crime, or if he had failed to file income tax reports. Then I was asked how warm my feeling were now for Mr Dent. Seems like someone at the Voters Survvey dept. is on the side of the Concerned Citizens For A Better Gotham.

Yes! Finally! All the viral stuff is really cool and all, but what we all want to see is the new trailer. If it appears online first, then great, but if not, I have no problem seeing it with Iron Man. Why? Because I intend to be first in line for Iron Man!! Well, maybe not first, but I'll definitely be there on opening night. A new trailer for the The Dark Knight will make it all the sweeter!!

oh em gee. FINALLY. Yes, this is awesome. It will totally be a trip to Iron Man just to see the new trailer (though i sincerely hope it comes out online before that..maybe it can be part of Dent's website somehow..)
"In Soviet Russia, Harvey Dent believes in YOU!"

I got the call early Saturday morning. Did anyone write down the number they leave at the end? I would like to show my brother.
When reading other peoples comments I’ve noticed a lot of people are demanding for the new trailer. I don’t understand why that’s so. I’m cool with keeping track of the viral marketing (which is easy with superherohype.com) where I can get a feel and glimpse of the world I will be seeing in the Dark Knight without any scenes or plot points being ruined. Don’t get me wrong; I know I will eventually watch the new trailer. But I can’t really understand the mindset of someone who wants to watch every scene of a movie that was leaked out before actually seeing the movie. I’ve stayed clear of the Iron Man scenes LG has put online and don’t pay that much attention when the trailers are on television. Also some trailers show a little too much and ruin the movie where everything is predictable when you see it. Sorry didn’t mean to vent.

if they call you with a survey then answer with numbers
164938
supposedly it reveals a secret message and i didn't know until after they called me and i wanna know what it is, can anyone elaborate?.

You can reach the survey at the number 1-877-777-6197.
Answer the six questions with the numbers 1, 6, 4, 9, 3, and 8. These numbers can be found embedded in the source code at the Concerned Citizens for a Better Gotham website, and they do, indeed, unlock a secret message which will play upon completion of the survey.
The message itself pretty much confirms that CCFABG is tied in with the mob, and possibly The Joker.

it's interesting to me that they would run a trailer for a DC film in front of a marvel film. I've seen advertising from both companies in each other comic books, but never with films. I don't believe it. We'll most likly see the trailer in front of Speed Racer, another Warner Bros. Film

Remember everyone: Don't get pinched, and they'll bring you back when it's all good. :)
Posted by: rob on April 20, 2008 at 06:40:24
uhm, Iron Man? I seriously doubt that a Marvel-movie will have a trailer for a DC-movie...
Posted by: Neil on April 20, 2008 at 06:41:21
By the way, for anyone that doesn't have direct access to a phone or are too lazy, here is the message pretty much verbatim:
"Guys, if you're listenin' to this message, it's all gone to hell. We got a rat somewhere, but the boss ain't forgetting about ya. He wants ya to...travel a little. See the world, get some sun. Stay out of Gotham while the heat's on.
You done good, you can be proud of yourself. Don't get pinched and uh, we'll bring you back when it's all good."
