Garner and Jackman Team on 3 Days in Europe
April 18, 2008
Jennifer Garner and producing partner Juliana Janes have signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros. for their Vandalia Films, and one of the projects is the following:
"3 Days in Europe," a romantic adventure following a couple as they face danger and excitement on what was supposed to be the perfect Valentine's Day vacation. Vandalia Films has partnered with Hugh Jackman and John Palermo of Seed Prods. to bring the graphic novel by Anthony Johnston and Mike Hawthorne to the bigscreen. Eric Gitter and Peter Schwerin are producing for Oni Press through their Closed on Mondays Entertainment banner, and Jackman and Garner are attached to star.
You can find more details about the deal at Variety.

What does this have to do with Superhero movies???
Does it stop the production of Wolverine or something???
Posted by: Darknightwatchmen on April 18, 2008 at 11:57:14
I don't think Hugh Jackman and James Garner make a convincing "couple", no matter hom much danger and excitement are involved.

Wolverine and Elektra, COOL!
And what happened to the Joe costumes link??! That's how much they sucked, that took it off the site.

I agree with Tony. What does this have to with anything that should be on this site? Maybe that she made the worst superhero movie ever?
Posted by: Athos310 on April 18, 2008 at 12:10:27
Oh, it wasn't that bad of a movie....of course I did have twelve shots of vodka in the ole' veins at the time..
Posted by: bman on April 18, 2008 at 12:25:36
Dont dis Elektra!?! It was a magnificent part of film history and I for one am lobbying for it to be placed in the top 100. It had everything. Everything a movie goer and a fan could ask for.
Posted by: bman on April 18, 2008 at 12:25:55
Except a plot.
Posted by: bman on April 18, 2008 at 12:28:57
Oh and it didn't have very good effects, and actors, sound and lighting, a director, productions assistants, grips, towel boys, Ben Affleck, Zod making a fool of himself, and I'll stop being an arse. I couldn't resist:) I wonder how many thought I liked this movie? Please don't answer that. (sigh)

Did they do a story on here when Jackman and Christian Bale did "The Prestige" together?(Wolverine and Batman ...ooooohhhh) ...Or when Michael Keaton was in the lame Romantic Comedy "Speechless" in which Christopher Reeves was also in (Oh my freakin gourd! Batman and Superman!) . . . Or how about "Cider House Rules with Tobey "Spiderman" McGuire and Michael "Alfred" Cain???
Are we really going to call it SHH news whenever 2 actors who have ever played supers are acting in a new movie together?
Posted by: ponyboy12000 on April 18, 2008 at 13:06:02
Yeah I don't know what this has to do with super hero subject matter other than this is a graphic novel.

Great, another movie with Jennifer Garner that I will get dragged to.

I have no idea!!?!?!??!

I imagine it's because it's from a graphic novel. 30 Days of Night wasn't a superhero film, but it was from a graphic novel, and that stupid piece of crap was all over this site - I don't hear anyone complaining about that!
Posted by: FuadRamses on April 18, 2008 at 13:36:13
And 300, and Sin City, etc.
Posted by: Harish on April 18, 2008 at 13:37:27
People, it's based on a GRAPHIC NOVEL. 300 was on here as news, but it's not about superheros. This site is about GRAPHIC NOVELS, particularly in relation to films.
Posted by: bman on April 18, 2008 at 13:42:27
300 and Sin City though are greatly exagerated to the point where people could see them as superheroes. This just doesn't seem like it to people that know of this particular story, that's all.

then they should change the name to graphicnovelhype.com

I thought Hugh Jackman was smart. Deciding to do this movie proves me wrong. My bad.
Posted by: Matt P on April 18, 2008 at 17:42:02
how is No Brains going to declare that Hugh Jackman is not smart by doing this movie when this is all the information that we've heard about this movie?? Altogether, both are very good actors/actresses. If both signed on to do this movie, whether related to superheroes or not, it has a better chance right now of being good than bad.
I do agree that they should start to get back to superheroes information though.
