Lexi Alexander Talks Punisher: War Zone

Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander has updated her official website with a post in which she says Lionsgate executives got their first look at the film and were... pleased. She talks about the experience of showing the studio her movie, the release date change and she included a new photo of herself with Ray Stevenson and his stunt double, Jeff Wolf.

This one is taking forever to get on the screen...just watched the original Pun last night, and I still love it...just hope War Zone has even more action in it...I really don't think a winter release date is good for this movie...people want to see an R rated comic flick soon. Was really hoping for the trifecta of Marvel movies this summer...those **** up's at Lionsgate are too concerned with kicking out the another tired ass Saw movie to get this one out...get Frank back on screen soon!

Pleased sounds...well...just content. Since Thomas Jane's departure, I hope this will be a good follow up to the series so they don't jack up a potentially good series. It has a good start anyhow.

Yeah because those two things are synonymous. She isn't a website developer. Breathe deeply and concentrate, everything will be alright.

I seriously think this movie will blow, hard. Im thinking Daredevil but with more violence and even less character development/story. This wont be good.

I enjoyed the last Punisher Movie. Granted it should have showed some actual blood in it but hey that was a more kid friendly Marvel.

My friend Jeff Chase was in the Punisher. He played one of the killers at the family reunion scene. He was the guy choking Tom Jane when Roy Schieder comes up and stabs him in the back before dying.
I crack up because every movie he is in he gets his ass wupped.

hey look.. all the typical whining ass clowns have yet to bring up the fact that the punisher skull is in the photos & ray stevenson doesn't look like steven seagal. at least that's two points of whining that can hopefully be dropped.

i am bent that it got pushed back but only because i am looking forward to it. if it's a better studio date - then so be it. we don't need another kill bill incident.

(just don't show me any micro photos until the movie so i can live in denial that he's not really in the movie or at least a very big part).

so far.. good job lexi!

I want this movie to be good in the worst way - Green Street Hooligans was a pretty good flick, hopefully she does the Punisher justice. Pics all look good, too - but I wanna see a trailer already!

And I thought News on this film couldnt get any worse, and then Lexi, Marvel and Lions Gate surprize me with even Worse news! This film is going to suck ass! Marvel sucks for not giving a diehard Punisher fan a decent movie in the likes of what Garth Ennis Max title has been. Nuff Said.

If you want to see a movie that proves lexi is a good filmmaker, just go rent Green street hooligans with elijah wood. I was so happy when I found out she was doing the punisher. If it took you longer than three seconds to load her site, you are having computer problems. That bare ass blog shot up when I clicked the link. I'm also glad someone out there has seen the original punisher. I own that ****, and it was awesome. Dolph Lungren played the best punisher so far, but as anyone who saw Rome knows, That should be about to change. Go Ray, I cant wait.

I cant blame her for being worried about the execs. Look what they did to spike jones and where the wild things are. That movie looked awesome, and they are making him start all over again, if they decide to keep him on the project. You guys are sitting on the sidelines judging her. I would be stressed too. Daredevil may not be a great movie to anyone in here, but if you see the directors cut and then you see the TRASH they released in theaters, You can understand why she worries.

I don't blame her for not being a website developer. I'm simply questioning her judgement, which might reflect in her filmmaking ability.

Plus, the movies going to be balls-out crap.
